What a nice CPU to overclock... *sigh*.. if only it was given to me laugh.gif

I tried using nTune. It sucks big time for me... I seriously suggest you overclock it manually from the BIOS itself. Be sure to check out the FSB, multiplier, RAM Speed, RAM timing... and last but most importantly.. voltage.

And yea, don't bother overclocking your GPU yet. Its still considered okay for today's games.

*edit*

Once you have set it to the max in your BIOS that is stable. You can use softwares such as A64 Tweaker and ClockGen to help you correct your RAM timing and also push ur overclocking a lil higher.

original MHz of CPU core: 2210.xxxMHz
after overclock: 2321.277MHz

Yup now its 2.3Ghz after OCing..
multiplier depends on proc itself...my proc has locked multiplier but i have no idea what its for anyway....
It not mistaken, the lower multiplier the better...

Im using bios to oc not software and wasnt tested for stability...

GPU oc somehow does affect abit, not on processing but atleast stuffs regarding to video/display...and that somehow affect abit..

Somehow stability isnt a big issue for me. I dun get whats so big deal abt Prime stable and yada yada yada... people just wanna show others that their rig is very good in overclocking but truly, sometimes these benchmark stabilities don't reflect much. I mean, as long as it works, it doesnt hang... it can go load @ 100% without any problems... things shld be okay.

-Out of Topic-
Yo WaCKy-Angel, you sold your Advance Modules already ah? That teddy fella a bit irritating right? lol laugh.gif

if i manually overclock it, i would prefer all go max, but i know that it will burn my processor and motherboard, and i hv no moeny to fixed it, and i dont know much about the voltage adjusting, i only gt a 450W power supply, and i'm not using ASUS or ABIT motherboard, i'm using the GIGABYTE.

is it 3500+ really suitable for overclocking?
*
Definitely better than the common 3000+ that most people including I are using.
Btw, only certain ASUS motherboard is good. Mine sucks big time. Abit is quite nice. DFI, Biostar are.... fun! haha...

450W is good enuff for simple and basic usage including a lil overclocking (as long as its a true power). Btw, overclocking requires pretty good heatsink/cooling system. Of course, pushing your hardware to go higher than it can, will generate more heat and ruin it over time... but if you have a good cooling system like water cooling or perhaps a high end air cooling one, it will do the trick. But you know what?

My personal opinion is, if you're happy with your system. No lag, no problems... then just leave everything to stock. I have done a survey HERE and it seems that outta 74 votes only 18 really found a significance in performance improvements. No hear problems, no warranty voids, no headaches sweat.gif

i use 2 fans, one for processor and one for exhaust, i dont know wat is true power, and how to see my PSU is true power or not? and i always leave my casing open, is it enough for cooling and air-flow? and u say that DFI and BIOSTAR r fun, wat is the means by fun?
*
If you leave your case open, your exhaust fan is already considered useless...

Your PSU, hmmm... must see the brand. Most of those cap ayam PSU that comes with your casing are not true power. Check and see what brand/model your PSU.

fun means..... hmmm kay basically they have a lot of tweaking options in the BIOS which allows you to tweak/overclock every single bit that you need. Sometimes things like FSB increment, its good to have small increase like 1Mhz at a time. Also, RAM timings are usually limited to the certain options. Good motherboards will have options like manual RAM speed increment and other optional timing tweaks. WIth so much control in your hands... how can not be itchy to overclock if you've got a good mobo. laugh.gif

when things turns into memory timing, i'm the most noob in timingand i still dont understand wat u all say the 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.0 timing >.<

Have you read our forum's RAM Handbook yet?

i already explained earlier why i didn't get performance RAMs.

sure, you can say it's faster by having tighter timings and FSB - my question will be : how much faster? if you have the moolah and willing to pay for the boost (whether significant or not) then go ahead.

and value ram doesn't mean it's unstabled. neither does it mean it can't be OCed and still be stable. of course, this really depends on what Value Rams we're talking about. my KVR BT-D43s can OC fine but i tried other KVRs with Nanya chips and others, no such luck on OCing. smile.gif

all in all it really depends on what you have, and your knowledge on how to use it. for my case, my KVR works great so i don't see a purpose of buying performance RAMs unless my goal is to OC really well and get benchmarking results that i can brag about.

Agreed... I have pushed my RAMs to tighter timings. But somehow... can't feel any difference. All I get is just the satisfaction of benchmarked results... haha.. kinda like syiok sendiri. No actual feel of the performance sweat.gif
