out of focus for couple of meters away - high chances are production quality, need to send back for rectification, ie. dismantle the lens and redo focusing.

it juz like camera dslr moving their lens forward/backward, but for dashcam need to 'lock' at steady position after confirming the focus point, can't zoom in zoom out as u like. if self-adjusting would void the warranty as would involve dissembling casing.

All are like that. Just the image in the center can see in focus.

nope.

c example of good focus:

(not xiaoyi, another brand)

Attached Image

this is one example slightly out of focus:

Attached Image

to do a simple testing:

stay put, full stop. 0km/h

can view 5-6 meter away plate number clearly?

if not, that not best focus setting.

for mainland buyers they juz send back for tuning focus (foc), but for overseas buyer then need bear shipping cost.

it has been reported unnumbered case of out of focus matter, all brands also kena, bcoz factory need to produce so many cam per job batch, cannot guarantee flawless of every unit.

hey guys im planning to sell my Yi Dashcam as im upgrading it to another one.

Age of item is 2 months+ only, still new.
condition i would say 9/10 as my car isnt exposed to the sun much.
grey colour.

bought it for 190 + 40 (32gb class 10 microsd card).
Planning to let both go at 180. or just drop me an offer.

and Yi Dashcam isnt very discreet. So yeah, worried someone might smash my windows for it, even though its not even an expensive dashcam but what do the thieves know.. sweat.gif sweat.gif

If discreet, can look at A118C or the A119 or the Shadow1s or the B40D...

300mb consider ok d...

No need to reduce size when uploading to youtube as youtube will also downgrade a bit of the quality when upload...

Been uploading 400+mb per 3 mins file on my 30mbps Unifi also no problem...

Bro, a few questions I have :-
1. Did you install it yourself ?
2. Are the cables all hidden or exposed ?
3. Did you mount it on the rear-view mirror or stuck on the upper windshield ?

Thanks.
