just received my power edition with 16gb memory stick.

whats your recommendation? should i record in 1080p or 720p?
*
Record in 1080p... Can't see anything in detail in 720p... Also, if can, upgrade to a 32gb as 16gb can record about 1.5 hours of video only...

Hi guys.

May I know that for Xiaomi Yi Dashcam, if I want it to record longer when I park my car for shopping, can I connect it directly to a powerbank(xiaomi ori) and is it recommended to do so?
Thank you.
*
There are some ppl who set up their dashcam with powerbanks but do be careful as powerbank don't play well in the heat... Powerbank might get bloated or start leaking or worst case scenario - explode...

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 9 2017, 09:26 AM)
I'm currently using 32GB Sandisk memory card.
I need to record a 5 hours journey. Will 1080p 30fps make it?
*
32GB can roughly record 3+- hours only... 64GB can record about 6+- hours...

Hello everyone,

My Xiao Yi's suction cup is not sticky like before, the dash camera keeps wobbling back and forth. Anyone got a fix for this? Or any idea where we can get a spare suction cup for the Yi?
*
Can try soaking the suction cup in hot water for about 10 seconds. Clean the windscreen also before sticking back on.

Another trick, is to use petroleum jelly and apply a thin layer on the suction cup before sticking...
