I hv ordered a figure from Japan but now kena tahan by custom maybe bcos the figure is too sexy. Since they asked me to collect from custom, so there still got a chance to get it rite? otherwise they sud confiscated directly.

Normally wat they wan when they ask u to collect from custom?

They cannot arbitrarily confiscate.  They still need you to go just incase you have special permit etc.

Mine was under firearms category they still ask me go there and ask for the surat permit.

    Sodium arsenate.
    Cloth bearing the imprint or duplicate of any verses of the Quran.
    Pen, pencil, and other articles resembling syringes.
    Poisonous chemical
    Lightning arresters containing radioactive material.



The importations of goods specified below are prohibited except under an import licence or permit from relevant authorities:

    Egg in the shells.
    Any meat, bones, hide, skin, hoofs, horns, offal or any part of the animals and Poultry.
    Live animals-primates including ape, monkey, lemur, galago, potto, and others.
    Explosives and Fireworks
    Imitation arms, toy gun / pistols.
    Imitation hand grenades.
    Arms and ammunition other than personal arms ammunition imported by bona fide traveler.
    Bullet proof vests, steel helmets and other articles of clothing as protection against attack.
    Soil and pests including live insects, rats, snails, and cultures of plant disease causing organisms.
    Safety helmets (except as worn by motorcyclists or motorcycle pillion riders).
    Video machines excluding game watches and video games for use with television receiver.
    Motor vehicles.
    Batik sarong.
    Rice and padi including rice products.
    Equipment to be connected to a public telecommunication network.
    Radio communication being used for telecommunication in the frequency lower than 3000 GHz.
    Saccharin and its salt.
    Parabola antenna for outdoor use.
    Pests and organisms which are capable of being injurious to plants.
    Live fish.
    Animal oils and fats.
    Plants include parts and plant products.
    Household and agricultural pesticides.
    Electric domestic equipments that use 50 volt or 120 volt Dc or more
    Toxic and/or hazardous wastes.
    Corals, alive or dead.
    Apparatus/equipment for the brewing of beer in the home.
    Pharmaceutical products

Thefiguremall? I remember they telan my deposit before and went unresponsive. Since it's just small amount so I didn't really chase them for it. But since that I never order from them anymore.

The story here:
- I ordered a figure.
- The seller did mention they can't guarantee there will be stock for me.
- Yet they still asking deposit from me.
- By the date the figure released. I didn't get any notification from them.
- Asked them, no reply.
- The rest u can see the pics below.
- That's an 2012 order man, till now still awaiting figure release??? WTF???     

Hi all, want to ask if anyone ordered from Nippon Yassan recently? What’s the best shipping option out of the ones available? UPS, EMS and SAL or something if I’m not mistaken.

Also I heard we can leave a note asking them to mark the shipment as gift and to undervalue it to <RM500 for customs purposes, does that still hold true? Many thanks!

At worst, after u pay the figure suddenly delay. It happens but it's rare.

And yes, their system is like that, u need to pay b4 release. Amiami is pay after release.

i got 1 item around RM880 shipped from japan to malaysia using SAL parcel and is very big box (Around 15kg) and the item is resin statue and so i believe i will be tax and is it the same process like poslaju which the my item will send to my nearest custom office and i will be receiving the poslaju letter to go to my place custom office to paid the tax? Thanks

Currently the tracking show the item arrived at KL for custom inspection.

I'll be in Tokyo in march.. but leaving on the same day AnimeJapan starts... need to be in airport around 3 to 330pm... wondering should I rush to the convention before goign to airport...

with so many box the custom officer didnt check u when u exit from the baggage area?

I dont advocate running away from kastam... but if you were preoccupied with something else and didnt hear them calling you amidst the crowd, then you cant really be blamed...... 

But I only do that when travelling alone, with family (and my kid) if they wanna stop us we will comply..

Does anyone know what "Care-Off Custom" means? This is my first time seeing this kind of status on the tracking.

when the customs are lazy or when there is a systemic breakdown of the system and they don't bother inspecting every single parcel as they should, we rejoice because we don't get taxed. but when they do, there is hue and cry over having to pay taxes and the inconvenience of it all. that pretty much sums up malaysian mentality... malaysia baru, fikiran lama. and at the end of the day, we gotto blame someone... anyone except ourselves. awesome.

back to amiami... yeah, they generally have the best prices, but they don't carry skytube premiums or native (unless it's pre-owned stuff). hobbysearch provides excellent prices during sales. and nippon yasan... that's pretty much the place to go for the cast-offable and likely to be confiscated stuff. all excellent retailers, imo.

I ordered a prime1 gantz figure from their website but i only found out it was extra-nsfw in third party forums. i mean, the images on their site indicate it was fully covered but i have no complaints la...except this issue 
you think customs will make an effort opening and checking everything and label it as lucah? they've opened up other nsfw items and it cleared last time for me. but it's thrice as expensip this time round. 

Has anyone experienced bringing about 10 figures back at the airport?
I'm mainly worried about tax and whether they'll confiscate it because it's NSFW.

Other items with higher value can bide in luggage, but figure boxes damn big.

Also would like to ask, if you appoint PosLaju when dealing with customs. Will they open the box still?

Yeah I think which airport you clear customs in maybe also a factor. Did you clear your stuff in KLIA?
