Edifier Speaker Roadmap 2008.

first of all, i do not guarantee all the product listed in this excel documents will be available in Malaysia.
However this official Edifier roadmap may be accurate in other parts of the world.
Even i've witness the all new M3100SF last month.
not to be taken for granted. but this is cool for those who are interested in Edifier speakers.
personal comment:
i'm impressed by White E3350, S330D, S530D and the MP300Plus, which is fully black, incl the carrying case.

@SSJben

i strongly recommend getting E3100 because the subwoofer.
at first i thought the bandpass construction made it sounds better than my M3300. in the end i found out that the crossover and amp on the sub is better than M3300 in terms of bass that's why i like E3100 bass character. M1310 also has bandpass construction and 5.25 inch sub just like E3100. but it never sound any better than E3100.

M3200 is just typical edifier. nothing special except its design so i recommend E3100 this time. M3300 is also good, in fact i have it as well but i dun like its bass despite having 6.5 inch reflex sub. however if u really need the clarity and power of M3300 (e.g. listen to rock or R&B songs) than u may prefer M3300 because those types of songs require powerful sub... better audition 1st...

yes.
M3300 bass is not powerful, but it isnt deep. so it do not punch as deep as E3100. just louder, not deeper. thats y i gave my M3300 away to my cousin and use something similar to E3100 although its cheaper...

okay. now the latter part of
Edifier Roadmap 2008 as written above.

CeBIT Australia.
As you can see from the picture, the MP300+ (totally black) my fav, white S330D, white E3350 is already available to buy. alot of new products also spotted. just like in the roadmap.

I have an Edifier C3. Using VAIO FZ laptop. But i am not satistfy with the sound quality even though my first impression when i was using this speaker at the first time was amazing. C3 is good in both clarity and bass, i like it a lot with such price.

But how do i appreciate all of this advantages of the C3. Am planning to buy a PC Express sound card for my laptop.

But don't know which what should i choose.

I read reviews about Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook a lot on the internet but i don't know where to find it.
Already went to Lowyat and LYN forum and couldn't find anyone selling this sound card maybe i don't know how to find it.

Would like to know about the price and whether it's good or not.

I'm more into musics (65%) and HD movies (35%).

Is there any other alternative model instead of this model which is close in price and better/same performance?

for laptop user like me i recommend get x-fi surround usb (or better) and use wmp11 with ffdshows decoder.

to just burn in, play music at your listening level, not too soft though until about 2-3 weeks everyday. it will automatically "burn-in" the midrange and tweeter. to burn in the sub obviously need to play songs or movie which have lot bass effect. not necessarily techno songs.

to do faster, use Edifier Burn-in Software.
download HERE

extract to new folder, and note that the extracted files will be = Break In.exe and one hidden caxfreq.dll ; both files needed for software to be open.

i suggest M2300, E2100, or even E3100.

Mr Edifier, i still remember, my cheap Edifier X300 subwoofer driver is totally concave. so cannot be "dented" unlike some of its competitor in terms of price. also, its midrange cone is solid opposite of those which can be easily dented like in the picture. i also have opened X300 and M3300 to see how its subwoofer and amp looks (check siggy). well its much better than some of its competitor...

though now not using Edifier already, still miss the times its going strong. good price, good build quality. Edifier Rocks! biggrin.gif

if u have room for 5.1 and ready for the cable mess then go for R501MK2 since u want to movie. otherwise try Edifier S330D and Edifier C3...

G500 is higher in terms of price than S330D. how it sounds? G500 will be better for movies and S330D will be better for music.

5.1 speakers means got 5 speakers and 1 subwoofer. your vs4121 only 2.1, means only got 2 satellites and 1 subwoofer. Edifier S330D also only 2.1
Edifier R501 and Creative G500 are 5.1 means u'll have 5 speakers to be placed in your room... more messy but well both will have surround sound.
