Radio amateurs with at least one year of license, and aged 18 or above are eligible to sit for the test.

Closing date for applications is March 3, 2008 at 5 pm.

is that true that we need to sketch the antenna?

well i just got info from frens who just got their callsign today..u dun need to submit the sketching of ur antenna..just ur application form, the letter from mcmc, recomendation letter signed by 9m2 and letter signed by the commisioner of oaths..

for me still have no time to submit my documents to mcmc...most probably by next week kena settle..hehehe

i think it is better if u can just sketch out a simple antenna..juz incase lor..if u are unlucky, they reject ur application oso not worth it la...just sketch a simple antenna

i did a yagi 6-element sketch.. they didn't say anything.. but i just pass it together with the rest of the docs..

btw.. dun forget to bring along ur letter from mcmc.. the want that as prove.. and you have to submit it too along with the rest of the docs..

i did QSO in 9M2RUK the other day.. but didn't stay too long coz my audio was kinda bad.. i haven't trimmed my MC101 antenna yet.. but i did simplex with my frens around kota damansara area.. so am getting the hang of it

i tot we only have to submit a copy of the exam result... i was told that.

anyway, went for an eye-ball few hours before at batu gajah. lots of Otai were there.

got to know them is so much fun. dun mind to hang out with them next time.

when is the next RAE test for this year??...

probably in june.. just be on a look out for the advertisement to apply for RAE on MCMC's website.. usually it'll come out within March which is next month...

but i'm sure ppl will post it here when the ad is out.. dun worry..
