omg im still very blur wif this new ham radio but am very intrested to join as a part can someone tell me wat exactly i need to do? did i juz missed the latest exam? anyone knows whn the next 1? and the cheapest handheld unit is hw much ah? aih kinda lost here

yeap u have just missed it ... next would be somewhere around May i think, but registration is around March or April ...

radio, getting a handie, cheap china sets, like fake Kenwood TK308/508 or Motorola or Puxing - this all goes for about 300 or so ... or a Spender set for about 400 or getting good handies like Yaesu or Icom for 500 and above ...

the exam is quite hard, so when do the result will be published?

most prob around february ... before cny can apply for callsign edy la ... hahaha start cheking for callsign la ...

quaility ar, quite a lot ... durability, quality itself ... in PG ar, not much clubs there that u can transmit on ... but u can monitor lo ... PG has got huge huge MARTS member there ... talk to them if u can ...

i was very confident answering the first fifty. then come the hard part. too much on technical, and i nearly have no idea what was it about. luckily some of my brain cells still works, able to pull something from my engineering subject few years before. i wonder how the old folks taking the exam. i even heard someone from my behind screaming, complaining bout the question. haha~
