yeah ... i missed both exams this year .... paid for both, still unable to go to any of them... hopefully next year the HAM angel will bring me luck to be able to sit for the exam.

i wana get a 8800 bt thinking whether 2820 or 2720 also.. wat do u guys think
and are there differences for the trunk mounts?

hw abt 2820 n 2720? hmmm im seriously looking at 8800 being the cheapest if im nt wrong amongst the 3/

Yaesu vs Icom is like Nikon vs Canon. Susah to argue, each got its own pro and con.

2820vs2720 = presentation and display the 2820 wins with no sweat. Function wise, almost identical. Toy with both and the only thing I dont like about 2820 is the magnetically only mounted face.

try kenwood TM-D710A, APRS ready.. i'm currently using kenwood TM-V71A.. need to upgrade to RC-D710 to enable APRS on my TM-V71A.

before that, need to send back my mobile rig to the factory for repair.

been using Kenwood TMV-71A for almost a year.. the menu is very user friendly. the manual is better than the yaesu and icom..

for the worth the money spent on the unit.. especially if you really active in VHF and UHF..

for me i use UHF during car club convoys.. and also using it to crossband sometimes.

read the reviews on the net.
