yes. unless the pickup is very poor quality, or poor cable.

In this case though, I dont think its the cable or the guitar. Most probably the buzz from high gain.

sometime the buzzing can also be caused by the plug of the amp being a 2 pin socket without the earth cable.
try checking the cables, and try using different pickups to c the sound difference. u can even try using another guitar n c the effect. hope it helps. regards. |

Did you turn on distortion for your amp or is it in clean mode? If distortion, its "quite" normal. If clean, change your pick up. 80% pickup problem. If still tak jadi, plug another elec guitar in. If got hum, 80% amp prob. If no hum 99% pick up prob for your own guitar. Hope this helps

QUOTE(mvtan @ Dec 27 2006, 04:08 PM) after i plug in my guitar to the amp and i turn it on, i can hear buzzing sounds from the amp unless i mute my strings... after reading back....maybe it is the 'common' grounding problem... i thought that was supposed to be normal till recently i tried my guitar on someone else's amp and there was no buzzing at all! i tried changing cables but it did not fix the problem. So is this buzzing sound supposed to be normal? try getting tips on grounding from various sites... |

so the solution is, to keep on playing at max volume so you dont notice the buzz
