Regarding Maybank 4.31% eFD promotion, I called maybank customer service 30 mins ago to clarify the definition of "fresh funds", as stipulated on the T&C.
He defined that as long as the "fresh funds" is from the Maybank savings/current account, and get deposited into the 12 months conventional eFD as per the guideline (credit to account) - then the eFD "fresh funds" requirement is fulfilled.
For clarity sake, I asked him : what if i uplift my existing eFD (say GIA-I), then put it into the new eFD 4.31% account? He replied: well, when you uplift from GIA-I, the money gets credited to your current/savings account first. Then you put the money into the eFD 4.31% account. So that is considered OK - i.e. fulfilling the "fresh funds" requirement.
I hope he did not Oscar me. Having said that, I have experimented placing the eFD today - the placement was successful, screenshot was as per provided by another forumer in previous post. and it is true that no way Maybank can trace if the money is from existing $ in account, or got transferred from other banks.
As such, i choose to believe the explanation from the customer service.
Hope this helps.

I just placed 10k into eFD with Credit to Account, but is it normal to still see the interest rate as 3.4%?
Edit - after viewing at the M2U website should be fine now I can see the additional point next to interest rate stating the gradual increasing rate to be 4.31%.i was using Maybank App when I first placed.
