Mazda 3 also have the feature walk away lock but without the remote start engine (in civic).
I also use this feature to lock my car.

The M3 I get is for my gf as well, on the first day it launch we're feeling love in it already. lol
But we didn’t really do comparison to other car as she want this at the moment she think of changing off her old Wira.

Beside the design of M3, she love Mazda logo as she said is like a bird flying, feel so free.    haha

To be honest, the Mazda 3 for me is enough except when fetching full family out. Back seat is a pain for Mazda.

even the foldable seat also not helping? if the rear only 1 person then still can use folding seat

i find the trunk space is enough for me though, can fit 2 medium size luggage and few bags of groceries

Actually I quite impressed with new Civic.
But spec wise I think Civic still lack behind M3.
Plus when comes to Malaysia, I dont think our Civic will get all that stuffs.

Comparing price, current Civic Navi (which is HS for Civic) is priced higher than HS M3.
So for new civic, I believe their HS Civic cant beat HS M3 in terms of price per spec.

Latest news, I heard new Civic got overheating problem, and cause the breakdown.

I didn't do much fancy stuff to my car.
Just do tinting and add boot tray to my car.

Next will be doing coating.

I'm using VKool 55 (security) and VKool 70 for windscreen tinting.
For coating, I'm going for Ceramic Pro.

Olive, I'm using Raytech RX series for side windows, front and rear windscreen is Ultra 70.

I got it from my SA, but the rebates on car is not that great, only 500 cash rebate. Tint is what I got from him, smart tag and full tank.

I find it is good. Car does still feel hot or warm when car sitting under sun for long time. But it cool down quickly, and you can feel there is almost no heat coming from outside when you put your hand next to the window.

Just find some reputable brand to ensure it provides proven heat rejection. Basically a good tint will easily cost you more than 1k.

About coating, there are alot choices and types. Some need regular maintenance, some doesn't . Do find more infos regarding this, or else you wouldn't know how and why your coating warranty is voided. And, keep in mind, coating does not protect you from stone chips.

Sierra glow is good for its price, I take the SG5 instead of blue flame and it's cheaper than other high end coating with 5 years warranty, after almost 3 months and it still look good

But zero protection against stone is the sad part for coating though

the other 2 car is using SG5 or blue flame? got more than 1 year the car still look like new?

i wonder how it will be after 2-3 years since some cheaper coating will wear off over time

I don't know the exact price, it comes as a package.

But if you refer to their brochure, for our car is RM 4000.
So, i estimate it should be some where around RM 2.5k? Uncertain though.

For window tinting, i got mine done at Koolway Shop, Taman Subang Perdana.

It's a bit darker from the outside, but the results is really good.

The price on brochure is way too high in my opinion. And since SA is able to provide it as free gift, it wouldn't be that expensive lo.. hahaha..
As I mentioned, my rebates is not great, only 500 cash rebates. but i think the tint worth more and think of hassle free later on just to get tinting as what you facing now, better let him sekaligus settle all. 

Below 2.5k, maybe you can compare Llumar, 3M, Huper Optic, something like "Solar Guard" or "Windguard" (couldn't remember).

Get a good tint, with a good workmanship will save you a lot of money, time. Hassle free.

I suggest asking the price without the discount voucher. Sometimes you pay more even after discount due to the SA's commission.

My impression dealing with Lord Gitsy is there is no fixed price for Raytech tinting for specific car models. He wants you to come to the shop and the price depends on face to face nego.

Anyway I know a friend who has done Raytech tinting for M3 for RM1800 with Ultra 70 for front/rear windscreens and security tint for windows.

Though it is a bit darker. Lots of people ask me if I have ever been stopped by police for my dark tint.
No, I have never had issues at roadblocks.

I've tested smart tag (old version) with the tint and is working fine.
I've also tested with my house long range proximity card reader and is working fine as well.

I did my tint at the dealer side and they do provide me official receipt, warranty card and 5 years warranty period.
So if any issue / bubble / defect, definitely can bring it back to the shop itself.

Excellent workmanship and keep the car neat and tidy.

hope it last more than 5 years because my car is park in basement in my condo and this m3 is consider my weekend car (daily car is KTM train), hardly kena bird dropping but lazy to wash it these days unless i went for some long journey

even if the car hardly drive, when swipe my finger across the body also can see many black dust particles sticking on my finger

So I went to Mazda @ Glenmarie, and it was indeed the battery problem. My car is 1 year old and 28k mileage, and I was told that the iStop blinking+warning sign lighting up was an indication of a weak battery.

According to them, turning off iStop will extend the life of the battery. First battery replacement is free (took 2 hours).

On a side note, I highly recommend the main centre in Glenmarie, because service is very friendly and good, and there is a lot of comfortable places to wait and work with laptop. They even walked to the cafeteria where I was sitting to inform me that my car was ready.

My experience with other service centres are as follows:

PJ branch: Very crowded and uncomfortable waiting area and takes ages to service car. But staff very friendly and helpful - I wanted to top up cash for fully synthetic but they told me that fully synthetic not so suitable for m3.
Bangsar branch: Very laid back, feels like a small town outlet, and somewhat dishonest (refuse to return excess oil from service even when I asked for it). Also my mileage was 21k+ when I sent in for service and they wrote 30k for next service. Tried to sell me fully synthetic for m3. Not friendly at all. But took only 45 mins to service car. So I don't know if I should listen to Bangsar or PJ
Glenmarie (the second centre further down from the main one): Some staff very malas. Some ok. Again, villager-level urgency. Car ready also don't inform - saw my car outside and asked them about it only say oh your car is ready. And they honestly were not that busy during that time.  But of course when their superior come out suddenly very friendly and efficient la.
