Hi Sifus,

any idea where can get the front strut bar and a rear sway bar for mazda 3 sedan 2014 model ?

and is it worth investing ?

i am some1 who loves car handling than its looks and since there are not much options on the bodykits for mazda 3 for now thought of spending it on making the car handling better..

please advice sifus..
*
go find any Ultra Racing distributor they should be able to get the matching stabilizer for you

if you have joined the m3 group they have their recommended workshop to do that

Is just a newer version of the previous module that comes with an additional switch on the passenger side. Imagine the driver walk out from the car to do something while engine is still running. The front passenger can activate the lock by pressing the switch installed at the front passenger compartment.
*
if can put at the center console or driver side power window switch panel there i also want to install it lo, been waiting for the center lock thingy long time d

today went to the new sc in equine park to get them check on the lower arm bush, after a round of test drive they agreed to change it for me without any issues, gonna change it next friday rclxm9.gif

the technician spray some water to the lower arm and managed to reproduce the same sound laugh.gif

took my car to go hiking today, went up to 550m from sea level, that's the altitude displayed at the speedometer app, not sure correct or not

Other weakness at Sg. Besi ..

1. Never return balance engine oil.
2. Never follow up with issue you mentioned (Driver door is not well aligned with car body, I found few cars having same issue and they recognized it too), although they said will check and get back to us (with phone call)...but it had been few weeks..
3. Told them the release of paddle after 3k+ rpm, the engine response is too slow to return normal (>2sec), they said is normal which I don't think so. They claim can't compare skyactive with other cars. But they said will reset the engine controller. ... confused.gif  blush.gif  rclxub.gif
*
what you gonna do with the leftover engine oil, your next service is also free? i think sc usually dont give back

i dont have the door alignment issue that you experienced, so far no one in the club has complained about it or any that i know of

i also not sure what paddle issue you talking about, if you say you floor the pedal then immediately release it then the rpm will maintain for a while to maintain the torque output for better response on next acceleration

Please do more findings on the car. Paul Tan has already mentioned and compare for you. Even pictures are there.  thumbsup.gif
Olive, where is the car pictures? Some more already do coating, post la some pics and make this thread shine shine abit..  rclxm9.gif
Miss Hanz and SK_C, I still couldn't get what you mean.. Release paddle after 3k, engine response too slow to return normal?
what response are you looking for?
Release pedal then rpm should drop?
Or you mean when press on accelerator, delay abit then only engine response?
Mind to give more description?

FYR, I upgraded from P.Persona, the lag is more obvious. Now this M3 is alot more fun, I would say my pedal response is quick and accurate. Simply follow my commands and wills..  thumbup.gif
*
lol....dont keep asking for picture only la, later she run away laugh.gif

i think what they mean is the gear changing back to normal, it tends to upshift and keep for few second before resume back to fuel saving mode

Maybe is relative comparison, myself upgraded from Vios (I think Hanz too), so the lagging is very obvious.  bruce.gif
You can try in safe condition, speed all the way to >3500rpm, release the accelerator and check how long your engine would continue to roar until it drop to back around +/-1k rpm. brows.gif
*
i also come from vios, some more is the 1st gen facelift

i think i know what you mean already, in vios when you floor pedal it downshift and accelerate, once you release it will shift back to the appropriate gear

different engine different behavior la, vios is for fuel savings and it is not as "smart" as skyactiv, if you do the same thing to skyactiv engine, it will downshift, from that point onward you are telling the engine "i want more power now" so it downshift and give you the zoom zoom feel

once you release pedal it wont immediately upshift to drop the rpm for better fuel efficiency, it will stay at the gear so that when you need to accelerate again it will give immediate response, compare to vios if it upshift to drop the rpm then the next time you want to accelerate you have to wait for the transmission to downshift therefore it is not efficient

this is a normal behavior, you can either manually shift to higher gear/release the accelerator pedal/step lightly on accelerator pedal, then the rpm will resume normal

another thing is that when the car detected it is in uphill, it will limit it's maximum gear to 5th gear and sometime it will downshift until the rpm reached >3k for better acceleration uphill, when going downhill and you release accelerator or step on the brake, it will downshift earlier to use engine braking for better braking, it will use engine braking as well when you drive at high speed and perform hard braking thumbup.gif

i assume your car is still new? new car out of factory tend to have gear hunting where it is too sensitive to your throttle response, after few days of driving the car will adjust to your behavior and you will feel the car tend to have more stable gear shifting and know when you want it to downshift

Considering the Honda case below, maybe we should mark the oil filter or ask for the remaining engine oil next time we do service?

If I remember not wrong, Proton rpm drop slow.

And faster rpm dropping, and accelerate faster can say is faster response to your car right? Brings more power in the moment.
*
the engine wont drop it's rpm faster than you upshift, if it does it means that there is a lot of friction and causes the engine rpm to drop that fast

no matter how fast a car shift, it cant be faster than a 1:1 response @ peak torque rpm range

the idea here is, shifting = waste of time, less efficient

most of us dont censor our plate also, too lazy already and since both the group is closed group and member who join has gone through admin screening so it is relatively safe, if those vios club or myvi club then have to be careful la tongue.gif

sometime we will even take picture of member's car and post to the group if we see them with the club sticker, just like what i did to toony that day laugh.gif

QUOTE(wkc5657 @ Jun 20 2016, 02:27 PM)
You mean new engine oil? How much oil they return to you?
Ok la if that's what they want to prove themselves. But still doesn't prove that bottle of engine oil was indeed poured into your car, could be any empty bottle around their tong sampah...oh well, conspiracy theories aside, i'll just trust them in doing their thing since it is warranted and part of their free service package.

As for the Honda case, i think it is a genuine oversight of the staff there. If it is really prevalent here regardless of car brand, that means the companies here are really shit head in the business ethics and moralities.

I give them my  puke.gif  puke.gif  puke.gif
*
it seems like when the sales volume increase = quality goes down

those staff need to have self discipline and ethics, but how many really has that kind of mindset shakehead.gif

just like last time my vios got accident, they changed a new headlight, but the headlight clip is not completely fit and after a while got water vapor inside the headlight, the other side is the original headlight that is already 10 years old also dont have this problem, and if inspect closely, the design of the new headlight is slightly different, the clipping point also different and can never be fit perfectly, i suspect they use some clone headlight on my car but i also lazy to argue with them already since i need my car back urgently...totally hopeless

In Perodua, you pay for the servicing right? So it should be rightful for them to give back whatever unused item as they charge you in whole Litres of the engine oil.

But if Mazda, with free oil, and still do that, almost charity leh....unless you opt for the fully synthetic oil that must pay la...probably will return about half a litre back to you...
*
we need 5L of engine oil right? if i'm not mistaken mazda engine oil come with 4L bottle, so to refill the engine oil of m3 we need 2 bottle, if give back the extra bottle of engine oil that would be 3L worth of engine oil already

How about the old parts that have been replaced?
Just asking first, coz i think good to know when i do my 1k service later.
*
for warranty claim, they might need to send the old parts back to HQ for claims, not sure about engine oil but you can try to ask for it

The service adviser at Taman Equine did this when hand back the car to me.
I replaced my bump stopper (to eliminate the kruk kruk noise), and performed 10k service there.

Unused oil is return and he even repeats what tasks had been performed.  thumbup.gif

taman equine that one only got 2 service bay is it? that day i went i see it is so small, this friday gonna go there change the lower arm bush to solve the ngek ngek sound

actually my question is I "complaint" this "lagging", they say normal but still reset my engine.. rclxub.gif either they are not confident on what they said or just want to make me happy. (In fact, I think they do not reset since all info data still there).. whistling.gif  whistling.gif
*
maybe their reset is ecu reset by unplug your battery for 10 mins then connect back, all the engine and transmission settings will be reset to default and let them learn again

So if we want to check whether the engine oil/ parts have been changed, to avoid incident like Honda, we have to open it up ourselves to check?
*
best way to do it is to open up and check, some of those parts are hard to check like oil filter, for engine oil you can take out the dipstick and check the oil color, it should be have some color like gold or red color depends on the type of oil, if black or grey color then hard to check la

this is a sample from my leftover oil last time, originally the oil should have its own color and should be transparent clear
user posted image

i'm far from my car now so i cant show you, if you take out from dipstick you might not able to get this color even though you pour in new oil, because there will be some old oil left inside your engine, you should get a bit brownish color from the dipstick

best is you check the oil from the dipstick before and after you change oil, see whether the color still same, personally i've not done it before because when i send my car for service i see them pour in the new oil with my own eyes

Glenmarie got two service centres is it? One next to showroom and the other one the bnp.  Then I can go either one for my upcoming 1k service. Both needs appointment right?
*
never went there before, not sure how is the service there, it is always a good practice to call for appointment first no matter which sc you go, just to be safe

you can actually join the skyactiv m3 fb group and mazda 3 club fb group to get all these info

QUOTE(SK_C @ Jun 20 2016, 08:01 PM)
But hoh, the average speed etc. still remain the same after reset woh.. hmm.gif  hmm.gif

then i dont know la, maybe they didnt reset or they just the diagnostic tool to reset it

the behavior that you're talking about is normal, so dont send to sc for that issue already

It's right by the bridge so if you drive to fast you might just miss the entrance (first hand experience >.<). The first time I went there I was instructed to park outside the premise and pass the keys to the SA after the security guard ask them to come out. The second and third time I went I terus drive into the premise and park by the side to pass the keys.

The waiting room can look into the hangar (do you call it a hangar if it's for cars?), looks like it can house about 4 cars. You can sit there comfortably sipping your free hot beverage and stale cookies while making the service mechanic uncomfortable as you stare him down. No nasi lemak though sweat.gif.

If you're like me who don't really want to bother someone else to pick you up for 2-3 hours service then drop you back, there are some places to eat/chill nearby but requires a little bit of walking if you don't mind chinese food. If not, the nearest landmarks would be 3rd mile square or scott garden. You can also opt for taxi if you're not the walking type.

My SA is not very informative and doesn't seem to be familiar with Mazdas though, not sure if he is new but I always dealt with him the last few times I was there. When I told him about the kruk kruk ngek ngek he doesn't seem to be aware that this issue is common with most mazda 3s.

The first time I went in for 1k, service all smooth and also the time I asked about the noises. So after 2 weeks my parts arrived and it took 3 hours but at the end of it they told me it didn't fix the problem and asked me to come back again when the other part arrives. Fixed my problem, but didn't fix my nyek nyek problem from wet conditions which I did tell them.

Overall, I would go back again. Nothing unpleasant in particular, nice waiting room.

You not from Klang? You go all the way to old Klang road to service your car ar? That's pretty far
