I changed to conti mc5. Cheaper tyre and less road noise but less grip. But the road noise reduction is so obvious. Its more quiet when driving now.

Anyway i have extra stock toyo tyre in case somebody needs them just pm me.
*
I changed to same toyo last time. Haiz.

Btw, you change 1 pair of your tyre or all 4?

QUOTE(toonny @ Jun 3 2016, 06:47 AM)
Not using this tyre. But based on the behaviour of this tyre, it should reduce road noise, better comfort due to softer side wall, better performance than our stock tyre.

Tyre price should be around 600 - 700. If you able to get cheaper than that and already allocate budget, just go for it.

Recent tyre change performed by members:
Aizat - Continental MC5, RM 400
Toonny (myself) - Hankook V12 Evo2, RM 386 (exclude 6% gst)
*
How's the Hankook review from you?

Hi guys,

Just got my Mazda 3 2.0 GL (Artic White).

Overall, I am happy with the car. However, would it void the warranty if I replace the light bulb? not too happy with it.
*
High 5 .. same XD

Hey guys, I know that the i-stop light will blink before it initiates, but recently it blinks (orange) and the warning sign is on from the moment I start the car until I stop the engine - to work and back 30 mins per trip. Anyone faced the same issue?

Infotainment shows nothing different. Ok, I guess I'll be calling Mazda for an appointment then, I hope it isn't because of my fast-charging usb ports that we regularly use for 2 phones...

QUOTE(Dovienya @ Jun 6 2016, 03:40 PM)
Hi all, firstly, sorry if wrong topic to post under.

Was checking out m3 and have some question hoping members here can help enlighten.

1. I'm driving a potong (proton gen2) currently. Is the noise (wind blockage & the kruk sound when going over speed bump and cornering) as bad as potong or negligible if comparatively speaking?

2. What's the differences between the newer model's SkyActive vs older model? (I was looking at second hand version, maybe 2011 or 2012 models)

3. What's the rough maintenance and upkeep is m3 looking at? I heard that m6 is high on maintenance (normal and major service).

Thanks
*
1. I drove myvi, alza, accent, vios.. before. Wind blockage I would say is OK. The noise is by tyre to road surface. The suspension is not to all M3 and also it can be fixed ( temporary / permanently )

2. Skyactive come with all those skyactive technology while the old 1 doesn't have. Old model still a good car to drive I would say, but If you can get a new car why not?

3. Maintenance price is not on the cheap side, yet not on the high price side. For new M3 come with 3 years/ first 30k free labour and parts. As for reference my gear box have some sound issue, and it been replaced totally free.

My pov, if you can manage to get a new unit, just go for it. While you getting 2nd hand unit, you will have to pay instalment on the loan and also need to prepare some money to car service and maintenance.

Thanks for the updates, guys.

to be honest, new car = 100-120k, used car 50k .. that the main reason..  cry.gif .. but still thinking..
Likewise, I've tried google the differences but cant find. maybe my googling skill sux.. lol
also, what does NVH stand for?

Thanks
*
Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), also known as noise and vibration (N&V), is the study and modification of the noise and vibration characteristics of vehicles, particularly cars and trucks.

i noticed some "tick tick" sound coming from the passenger door when going through uneven road. Doesnt seem to be the tyre or lower arm bush, it's either the side mirror or some parts inside the door, will observe more

anyone having the same issue?
*
Yes. Discussed before. need to dig back 1st.

Guys, just a quick question:

MBB offered me 2.89 for 7 years
Affin offered 2.80 for 8 years

If i take Affin and clear it off in 7 years, does the total interest amount lesser than MBB?
*
QUOTE(amduser @ Jun 7 2016, 01:02 PM)
from what i know, car loan interest rate doesn't count like that, interest for car loan will be calculated up front, which means for the first 2-3 years you will be pay off interest and instead of your principal amount, even if you pay off 1 year earlier the interest rate will still remain as 22-25k for your case, if the bank got give some rebate for paying off earlier then i not sure about that la

i use car loan calculator to calculate my loan last time, you can try and see which option suits you
http://www.calculator.com.my/car-loan#.V1ZUS_l96Uk
*
Yes correct. The amount wont be less even you pay finish before the period.

I don't think so, as I'm currently driving a 1.3 Myvi. Haha

wow from your post you really did a full range comparison don't you. rclxms.gif

The M3 I get is for my gf as well, on the first day it launch we're feeling love in it already. lol
But we didn’t really do comparison to other car as she want this at the moment she think of changing off her old Wira.

Beside the design of M3, she love Mazda logo as she said is like a bird flying, feel so free. notworthy.gif haha

To be honest, the Mazda 3 for me is enough except when fetching full family out. Back seat is a pain for Mazda. rclxub.gif

Haha~ Basically i only did the comparison between new Civic and M3, as 130k below price range, only these 2 i think the design quite nice.

M3 i also like it since CBU launched. rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

Haha, my car i usually drive alone or with my bf. I have a small family, only my parents and I, that day i went test drive i did bring them along, and they say the leg room is ok for them. smile.gif  So legroom isnt a problem for me i guess.
*
haha, normally ok la. If you don't mind.
Only when I need to fetch them to airport with few big luggage then only I feel the size different.
