1. can , console serial number already enough for sony to check via their system
2. if he bought used PS4 , im sure the PS4 registered under previous owner , which all the details still under previous owner
( but your friend can ask sony to change it , since he bought used set )

yes it will extend your PS4 system warranty , meanwhile this extend warranty wont valid for dualshock 4 controller

Upgrading HDD didnt effect or void the warranty , btw agreed with you , better buy 500gb then upgrade it to 2tb rather then straight away buy 1tb set

if the fan getting louder , its time for you to send the console to the service centre , they will help you to clean up inside the console including apply new thermal paste .. this will avoid your console from overheating issue

there is model number at the box itself , last two numbers in the model name ( 06 ) e.g : cuh-1006 / cuh-1106 / cuh-1206 indicate SEA set , which is warranty by sony malaysia plus valid for regional warranty

my ps4 upgraded to 2tb using seagate backup plus slim , works like a champ

On technical parts im not so sure , someone will tell more details bout it ..

Next year me myself also gonna upgrade to 4k tv , i will hunt for samsung , cuz currently im using samsung full hd .. I love it due to display quality and color richness

Well, the Japanese PlayStation Blog has released some screenshots showing off the new system software, and embedded above you can see the oft-request organisation feature in action. Looks tidy, no?



Other improvements include the new Quick Menu, which will only take up half of the screen. Again, you can see that in action courtesy of the screenshot above. This will be fully customisable, so you can prioritise the easy access features that you need – like Communities or Parties.

sometimes , this problem remain the same till warranty period over , then boom ! the problem will get lots worst

lets say the problem getting worst within warranty period , send for warranty claim ... if the warranty already over , there is permanent fix for ps4 ejecting disc by scratching the gold plate ( i already post the youtube video at the previous page , refer page 80 )

PS4 4.00 Firmware Includes Game-specific Privacy Settings, Control Over Download Order, and New Download Estimates



Now that the beta for PS4 4.00 firmware has been going for a couple of days, more beta testers have been coming forward (mostly on Reddit) to share what they have found thus far in the firmware upgrade.
A few changes have been found with downloading PlayStation 4 games and apps. One user has reported that the Downloads menu now shows two estimated times for downloads: one for completion and one for when the app can be launched. For those downloading multiple games or items, the download order can be set manually or prioritized. No more pausing all of the downloads to manually select which one to go next.

The following other features have been found:
Players can set individual privacy settings for each game. This is perfect for those who are embarrassed of their guilty pleasures.
Live streaming now supports up to 60fps.
In your Friends List you can see the last date the friend was online instead of how many billions of hours ago it was.
Notification Box is now white instead of black.
That last one has me baffled. It’s not attractive to say the least, and it will really stand out when it pops up during a game.



See what I mean? Perhaps Sony will implement an option for the Notification Box, whether its white or black.
