Ahahahahaha, it would seem majority of the FPS problems in Disgaea PC is caused by subscribing to Steam Client Beta and if you're subscribed to it, just unsubscribe and good chances you'll get smooth as silk 60 FPS.

It's like Steam itself was sabotaging Disgaea's release, since a lot of people got refunds due to the FPS problem, calling it a bad port.

Beyond Earth isn't all that bad, it was just... lacking.

It's nothing new for the Civ series, really... it's just like how most of the Civ games are lacking before they get an expansion.

Civ V sucked at first too, lacking a lot of things from 4, making it seem really barebones (seriously, no religion? and no espionage either, the heck?), but then it got better with Gods & Kings (they finally brought religion back! and espionage too!) and finally really shine once it gets Brave New World. Tourism! Artifact! Idealogies! Trade Routes!

It's the same for Beyond Earth. Rising Tide added a lot of things to it, making it much much better. Atlantic cities, atlantic resources, artifacts, marvel quests, etc etc, those are all great additions. Hybrid affinity units are cool and nifty, though hybrid affinity itself kinda needs some work, imo, since you can max all 3 affinity easy... and the new diplomacy system is... odd, to say the least.

And guess what... you can move your Atlantic city... and ram into enemies with it. Give me ramming speed! Woo!

DISCLAIMER: I am a Civ addict with hundreds of hours in Civ IV and V, and slowly reaching that in Beyond Earth. Already got 100% achievement for V and BE, though. :3

ya, always get backup steam codes... if you're low you can generate a new set of 30, though that'll disable all the old ones.

very useful. i use that a lot whenever i lazy to check phone or other reasons lol.

probably just a regional pricing thing, we do get things quite cheaper, unless it's one of those AAA companies enforcing real currency exchange rate, lol

example: http://store.steampowered.com/app/251290/

that seems to be the default regional pricing rate. we get 30 usd game for RM56... so 60 usd game for 105 is about there. remember, it's only the big AAA games company that enforces near-real currency exchange rate, not caring about regional pricing at all.

That's base price for you because you set currency to MYR, so all games with have MYR as the base price tongue.gif

If you want a more accurate Base Price and how games are much cheaper here, set the currency to USD. We get things real cheap usually, but... well, nothing beats Russian prices, lol.

Anyway, I'm so used to cheap regional pricing for Malaysia that whenever the AAA games go for near-real currency conversion, it hurts. Those are the games you see for ~200 T_T

lol, Dragon Quest Heroes went 50% off... for like an hour. It's been 'fixed' to 33% now. Was wondering how it got such a great slash merely a couple months after release.

nah, it's usually ~2 or under, to be honest... that seems to be the default pricing for all non-AAA games

I think all the Final Fantasy games cap at 50% discount, unfortunately sad.gif

I've personally never seen any of them go any higher.

gmg might go 75% but remember gmg deals in USD rather than our regional pricing, so for us, 75% at gmg is probably more expensive than 50% on steam tongue.gif

BTW, here's the newsletter quote:
QUOTE
Holy hack 'n' slash! Hyperdimension Neptunia™ U: Action Unleashed is about to shred its way onto your computer on March 21! Now you'll get to enjoy all the frenetic action of the original game with newly-updated graphics! Choose your tag team and rip through massive hordes of enemies with exciting aerial and ground-based combos. Look out, though - take too many hits and your clothes and defense will end up shredded!
I'm especially eyeing the "take too many hits and your clothes and defense will end up shredded!" line.

Obligatory pic from the newsletter:

Welcome to the era of 15 day trade hold, or authorizing every single thing on mobile, even if you're only putting up the item for 1 cent.

Neptunia U already at 40% off, not bad if you are interested.
Might take a few refresh to see the discount since it's just out.

I heard Neptune U is a very short game and you can finish it under 24 hours of playtime, so it'll be a quick game to complete and get to other backlogs, lol.
