If only Dark Ruby Red Pearl turns out like this... Will look stunning on the Civic. But most of the shots I have seen on the City looks more like Iron Man red which is more maroon-ish instead of orange hues.

QUOTE(usopkun @ May 11 2016, 12:02 PM) Not sure, but should be compatible since its the same platform. Im quite disappointed Lanewatch aren't available. Seems like we are getting similar specs as our Indon neighbor. Perhaps once Honda gets the EEV status tax breaks for this new Civic 1.5T, they can then introduce a higher spec RS version like our Thai, Philippines and Australian counterparts get while maintaining the price. The RS gets a few more goodies, like Red illumination dashboard, lanewatch, turbo meter, interior ambient lighting besides the exterior sporty black grill and rear spoiler. Exciting colors like the Brilliant Sporty Blue and Rallye Red is also missing and maybe waiting for the introduction of the RS version.I think the black grill looks great! The Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic is also a nice color which we are not getting.. ![]() This post has been edited by GeekinE90: May 11 2016, 04:21 PM |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ May 12 2016, 01:39 PM) Civic Turbo review is out @ Paultan Smaller turbos don't give the kick that big turbos do, but has also much less turbo lag. The linear power delivery is expected. Even the 2.0T's from BMW, Mercedes and Audi/VW has very linear power delivery (non-AMG/R/S spec'ed ones).I've long suspected that the engine would behave in a similar fashion. It's fast, but not THAT fast. |

QUOTE(usopkun @ May 15 2016, 11:31 PM) If im not mistaken, the original articles(in chinese) stated 0-100km tested in Drive mode while most Usdm civic reviews were using S mode to achieve 7.2s. 0-100kmh always takes longer than 0-60mph. Also, real world test in warmer humid climate countries will not match the numbers in cooler countries, especially if the A/C is also working. |

QUOTE(dares @ May 15 2016, 11:30 AM) If anything, the new Civic looks way more rice than the FB. Most manufacturers are going with more radical design language rather than bland as the demand is for exciting designs even for mature buyers (see the latest Mercedes and Lexus designs).» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I think it is abundantly clear who Honda is aiming at with this design language, and it's not the mature buyers. What is nice (based on reviews) on the 10th Gen Civic, is Honda not only put innovation in the drive train but the overall car is bigger, more comfortable, quieter, practical, full of tech and efficient. Mazda only focused on the drive and handling, but most reviews criticize the 3 for lack of NVH, comfort and practicality. |

QUOTE(usopkun @ May 17 2016, 10:43 AM) HM should have provided us the RS spec for the top of the line even if the cost is higher as HM is already bringing in 2 other lower spec models. The current top spec is not high spec enough. Hopefully the full RS spec will make it's landing in MY market in due time, even if it means it's a CBU Thai import like what Toyota did with the top spec Altis. |

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ May 18 2016, 05:43 PM) Bro, ppl who go for such cars don't talk about resale value la. It's only those coming with the B segment mentality who talk about resale value la. If everything else is almost equal and if the deciding factor is resale value, then legitimate discussion la. But not otherwise. There are cars people buy with their heart and cars bought with the mind. For me the Volvo S60 does not get my pulse racing. Totally unsexy car both inside and out. V40 looks much better on the exterior but the interior design seems like it is from the 90's. |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ May 19 2016, 03:08 PM) The "dark silver" or Lunar Silver Metallic looks great in the shade! Looks almost like light metallic grey. The CKD Honda Jazz's Tinted Silver is a little more greenish I think compared to this silver. This post has been edited by GeekinE90: May 19 2016, 04:42 PM |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ May 20 2016, 02:17 PM) Thankfully we are getting the US/AUS/Thai/Philipines/Dubai headunit and not the unique Indonesia one. This means it'll support Andriod Auto when Google releases the app for Malaysia. Just read that Waze will soon be available for Android Auto (currently only supports Google maps).Yes, the Lunar Silver is nicer in the flesh than in pictures. A new color for Honda in Malaysia which is nice. Modern steel is a lovely color too, but we have seen lots of it on Accords, Jazz, CRV, City and Civics here! QUOTE(dares @ May 20 2016, 02:34 PM) I went to view the car today. Front are ventilated discs but rear are solid disc brakes. Also, the rear definitely needs the RS spoiler to complement the flow, and give the car more lines on the rear. ![]() Big difference without the RS spoiler.. ![]() This post has been edited by GeekinE90: May 20 2016, 04:47 PM |

One of the more comprehensive spec sites for the Civic.. A few interesting points for the top spec Civic.
1) Thicker anti-roll bars front and rear 2) 1.5T is more fuel efficient vs. the lighter NA model (we don't get moonroof, 450watt audio system with sub, Sensing suite, here so MY top spec Premium civic should be lighter than US/CA 1.5T model) 3) Acoustic windshield for all models besides the basic spec. Wonder if MY cars have this? 5) The 17' wheels and tyres are 215/50 series vs. most current Japanese C segment 17' size of 215/45. Taller side walls which should help with comfort and pothole damage on wheels in KL. https://www.honda.ca/civic_sedan/specs |

QUOTE(usopkun @ May 23 2016, 03:46 PM) As for me, the color looks fine. This is the color that will look good in all lighting conditions. In gloomy showroom condition it looks elegant and brighter at noon but not over bright thus shows body contours and lines better. It's a toss up between Modern Steel and Orchid Pearl White for me. I went with Modern Steel but may change it to OPW as it's for my wife. She commented that the car looks like a man's car instead of a ladies car based on the pic I showed her of the Lunar Silver Civic at Mines. ![]() |

QUOTE(usopkun @ May 23 2016, 05:51 PM) If you want a ladies colour, i suggest pick ruby red. Under sunlight the color hue turns pink-ishš. Cannot imagine the Dark Ruby Red Pearl on the Civic. So far seen it on the City and HRV but it's not an immediate love for the color. May need time or have to see it on the car itself.. My SA said that the cars will be at the dealers in early June to view the colors. |

Interesting paper specs for Philipines Civic RS.. Only 216nm torque vs. the typical 220nm published specs but check out the century sprint specs!!
"The powertrain alone is enough to give it a leg up with its brand-new Earth Dreams 1.5-liter DOHC VTEC engine featuring both direct injection and a mono scroll turbo. The maximum output of 173 horsepower and 216 Nm of torque makes one dream of a Civic SiR successor; and on paper it is, with a 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and 14.9 seconds to the quarter mile. In reality though, it feels more of a smooth operator. It has less of a āturbo feelā compared to other force-induction motors as thereās minimal lag. Power delivery is extremely linear, providing tractable performance even from idle. The engine note is also satisfying with the right amount of growl. The CVT isnāt the first choice of enthusiasts to pair with the engine, but itās a good match this time. Itās only under the most enthusiastic driving that the gearbox feels like it is neutering the performance somewhat. Still, thereās no denying its contribution to fuel economy: 10.9 km/L after around 50 kilometers of driving." http://www.carguide.ph/2016/05/first-drive...c-rs-turbo.html |

QUOTE(dtna7 @ May 24 2016, 02:34 PM) It's clearly about 8 seconds for 0-60mph. 0-100kph? a little bit more.. What's terrible is about 1 second lag before anything happens when you floor the throttle. 6.5sec? yea right...power of dreams. But no idea why Honda Philippines quoted 6.5 secs. That's way off based on weight, power and torque figures of the car. Plus no other country have Honda made this claim! I have also noticed different engine power output being quoted from Honda official, with Dubai market quoting 180hp for the 1.5T and Philipines quoting quite a few NMs down on torque vs. other markets.
