On that part, it's a little weirder than any of us expects. Nintendo items will always look overpriced because of how Singapore controls the stake in the pricing part. Whereas Sony titles have been better only because the distributor is seeing better interest and growth when you deal directly with retailers.

So, unless Maxsoft wants to take better initiative to directly speak to retailers (They will only do one, so I'll let you guess who), don't expect prices to change. Margin is already at meh levels anyways.

maybe there is a slight chance that there is a market for private hell like this where you create a hell and it can sell tonnes of money for being unique without need of competing with other party on doing it like everyone else

And here I thought they wanted to change from just catering to their core demographics. You cant catch lightning in a bottle twice, that only happened once with the Wii. I would've thought to use the goodwill garnered from their current momentum to assure people they wont return to their stupid earlier WiiU days. Hell, even "stupid earlier WiiU days" have simple, working, not-complicated voice-chat!

They're even worse than the current standard of DLC-selling/content locking practice currently, now Nintendo locks content traditionally and historically available since time immemorial, behind a stupid plastic figure, that has the potential of price inflation as their own model of "DLC".
