Today I felt impressed in my heart that God wants you to know the meaning of this verse above.
If you see your prayers are not being answered, but the opposite is happening...it's a good sign to know that 1 Peter 5:8 is actively happening but take heart because it also mean that:
You're born again, alive in the spirit and that your prayers is actually being answered! (and the answers are on the way)
See nothing happens without a reason especially when it comes to prayer. For example when you pray for peace but you end up getting more strife than before or when you pray for some sort of provision, be it healing, finance but the opposite is happening..just examples,
Understand the devil is working extra hard to resist you. You need to understand God is in the business of answering prayers and is for you, not against you.
When you know in your heart the truth of this scripture that the devil always seek to defeat you, then you must also resolve in your heart to stand up in Faith in God very very stubbornly.
Don't let negative circumstances around you to deceive you into thinking perhaps God is not interested to answer you or perhaps to think it is God's will not to answer you.
Have wisdom also.
Learn to separate the objective of your prayer, if it is for selfish needs then you need to know God will not answer something that will harm other people or it's for your selfish need.
But if your prayer is for the good of others or is for a good breakthrough for example you are afflicted with some illness & you need healing or your family is always quarrelling and you pray for peace within your family THEN have the wisdom to know GOD WILL ANSWER SUCH PRAYERS!
When you pray and it seems like nothing is happening or worse the opposite is happening, remember 1 Peter 5:8, the devil is working to resist you.
Doesn't matter if it's so many years of unanswered prayer, I say this to you REMEMBER the parables of the persistent widow that Jesus Christ shared, always pray and not give up!
