Common courtesy demands that when we go to someone else house we should behave according to the rules of the master of the house.

Bible or scripture is the core essence of Christianity, it defines everything. It has to come from there. If you ignore the Bible and rather resort to intellectual meaning to say to depend on Man's wisdom, that is not Christianity.
