I own a 2011 persona. The fuel consumption is around 7-9km/ liter (it is quite high compare to other car).

This car is realiable, cheap to maintain, like wira. The spare part are a bunch and easy to get, service also no prob since many mechanic know Campro.

Just this car equip with dinosour tech, but 4at transmission is smooth and very responsive than myvi

You are right but could it be more expensive? I must say I do admire the exterior of Persona, especially with an R3 bodykit. However, I am just worried about its reliability.

Yea but what you gain from the cheaper but older model, you lose it instantly plus alot more in terms of resale when the new one comes out, and since the new one is so near, doesn't make financial sense to not wait unless you need a car immediately.

Just do not buy the saga fv/ saga flx plus if you value your life.. Car without abs is really dangerous to yourself and also to others..

But persona sv got abs..so okay la..drive also stable

get a slightly used 1-2 years old persona
at least better spec-ed than the SV and also it will be around or even below 35k which is alot of saving

Now proton are clearing their persona test drive car to make room for their new Perdana, Persona, Saga 2016. Last month i saw many test drive unit for sale, this month become lesser already. Fast go grab now, need to sort by 2014 persona.

Not really worth if buy new now since it will discontinued soon unless you get huge discount.

Persona for me is a quite realiable car, serving me for 7yrs... The only things i hv changed is the wear n tear parts plus power window once wink.gif All mechanichal still rock solid when i sell after 7yrs.

It's a good car, but if u wanna buy now.. Consider used instead.. Is an old tech and may come out with new model soon. But god car also old tech ppl still willing to buy new.. Hehe

been driving persona for few years b4 this, quite a decent car i would say.. definitely a good highway cruiser.. good stability and very agile handling.. love it.. even better than my current car.. just that the FC is below average, and pick up is quite slow too..

try to get a good used High-Line unit that comes with leather seats and cruise control and full disc brakes. you can get it around RM20-RM25k. In my opinion, it has better fit and finish compare to the newer SV models. Having to said that also, I do owned a 2007 unit, the engine and transmission with mileage 200k+ never give any problems until i sold off last year. Good car and low maintainence too.

Also the ride and handling of this car is much better than 80-140k cars in the market. really stable and predictive handling.

Do consider. icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm just coming back, being a back passenger inside a persona year 2007.

Back seat can't support my head, I'm quite tall. Power window motor problem  doh.gif said got warranty end up SC charge RM300+

Double check with SA or On9 for power window lifetime warranty and other warranty for this car.

I know one friend buying Persona SV 2014 but not get in touch with. Rarely coffee break together due to work
*
I think lifetime warranty for windows only apply to proton car manufactured in 2010 and later... for power window motor problem, if still under manufacturer warranty, should cover, but extended warranty not sure..

This is one affordable and good car I would say.

Pros:
- Stable at high speeds
- Large boot
- Cheap to maintain (parts are everywhere)
- Looks good (my opinion)

Cons:
- Low seats (can be a little uncomfy for tall people)
- Restricted rear view
- Slightly high FC
- Very basic car (if you opt for SV)

If you wanna wait for the second generation Persona, wait until end of 2017 or early 2018 version that comes with Petronas-based engine.
