QUOTE(Nawar @ May 8 2016, 12:14 PM) thats a lot in one go..in unicorn mode.. dont think the led is necessary.. may want to plan in long run for this hobby, coz it takes up space fast too.. unless you are targeting pgs and big scale kits... I wanted the leds for each kit, and it's only for the unicorns/banshee, etc. Only going to work on PG and slightly bigger MG kits. Use to Gundam but lost touch over the years. The way I see it, I'm probably going to buy 1 PG a year. Maybe 1 more if there's a P-Bandai release. Take me another 6-12 months to work on each. Compared to Lego, saves me a lot of $$. I've got 2 more led sets to buy. I need 6.QUOTE(xein @ May 8 2016, 12:18 PM) Good, good. Should last me a lot longer actually. Yeah, another 2 more Mega Size to go (Age 1 & Age 2) and I'm done with those.Enjoy those purchases. Those should last you at least till december. I just realized you also bought 4 Mega Size. Those are great but takes up large space. QUOTE(Lurker @ May 8 2016, 12:21 PM) Yeah, certainly huge boxes these Gundam. Just like Lego. |

Just ordered Banshee x 2 for RM670 each. I think that's the cheapest I can find so far. |

QUOTE(xein @ May 11 2016, 06:28 PM) That's great. Don't give up what makes you you for a woman. I did that, gave up everything. Love is love, but eventually you don't want to turn into someone else. You'll find yourself resenting the person for making you give up whatever it is you use to enjoy doing. Gundams, console/computer gaming, etc. Just stick with it but do it in moderation. The person you're involved with will have to either understand, or hit the road. Also marry whoever you want to marry, parents need to mind their own business. That's what I believe, no offense meant. I love my parents too, but I'm not going to spend the rest of my life with someone they think I should marry. But i guess it is my parent's expectations and the environment i was brought up that results me in seeking comfort in model kits, figures and games... If i found a woman i want to truly make her my wife, i'll marry and love her. I'll forget the toys and games if she truly loves be back. I kept telling my parents this. But they kept wanting me to marry their choice... Sometimes i see myself in my toys... as if i'm treated like a toy by my parents. You can try to resist or retaliate but they'll always win... I kept telling my parents that this is my life, at least let me decide who i marry... it's a life time commitment sharing your life. And lately i kept feeling chest pains everytime they tell me to throw away the toys and get married... Oh, well this week i already sold off some of my toys for 1/5 of their original value... a lot more to go.... I'm going to be sick starting next week but taking a vacation is no longer an option.... Hopefully i can build gundams in my free time at my new workplace... This post has been edited by refnulf: May 11 2016, 06:34 PM |

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ May 11 2016, 06:35 PM) I guess it's more about drawing a fine line between life and hobby, unless u're so obsessed with any hobby to the point that you neglect other things and spend whole days on the hobby then it could be a problem, otherwise it's an hobby to kill time after all, same like people who play instrument, painting etc With Gundams, it's all in one. You're building, painting, being creative, etc. Best hobby around even. |

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ May 11 2016, 06:37 PM) I only do straight build That why it takes me 6+ months for each Gundam. But the Freedom 2.0 I just PO'ed the special coating version so I don't have to paint it. Just put it together and decal the thing.i wish i can do airbrushing but it's gonna take a lot of time for doing after playing Gundam Breaker 3, how i wish i can actually customize my own gunpla :/ Settled! Should be fast. |

QUOTE(xein @ May 12 2016, 06:50 AM) I'm tempted by the neo zeong but i'm sure i'll get into trouble if i buy it....unless maybe if i mod it into a side table ...or shelf I saw it in a few shops and it is massive. Not much detail but I could scribe that out for paneling, etc. Done right, it would look spectacular. If you direct build, I think it's pretty plain and the colours are not very nice either. Sinanju at the top area is nice too, way too small for my liking though. If i manage to get away with that...i might get the 1/144 dendrobium and call it a coffee table. I've been looking around for this, and the price has been ridiculous. Maybe I'll be able to get my hands on this now (with some luck). |

Smaller compressors usually won't let you go on for hours and hours. You're looking at 45 minutes to 120 minutes depending. Bigger ones cost more, and have better features of course.

QUOTE(xbbshampoo @ May 12 2016, 02:53 PM) Yeah, can get something small and cheap. Should work for a beginner. If you feel you're really going to be seriously into this, then you can work on getting a better one. But best to start with a cheap AB and a small compressor. See how it works for you first. |

Well, Hyaku Shiki Special Coating MG is out soon. RM500 or so. That should be good. Of course it's a P-Bandai version so expensive.
[attachmentid=6639929] Picked up the Freedom 2.0 today, decided to not get the special coating version because of the nubs. After the whole set ruined, might as well get the normal one. [attachmentid=6639888] I'm going to replace the HG Sinanju in the Neo Zeong with the RG Sinanju when it comes out! Muahahahaha This post has been edited by refnulf: May 13 2016, 05:23 PM |
