Honestly, after disabling so many stuff via package disabler pro, i see minimal, if not, no improvements in batt life.

In fact, i get alot of "unfortunately, xxxx has stopped" notification. laugh.gif

Verdict - built in app manager to disable would suffice.

Just my own opinion. Dun shoot me. I know some of u got superb results

I average 3.5 hrs sot before pdp. The day i bought pdp, i manage to hit 5hrs sot. I thought, whoah! Fck me!

I still struggle to get even near 4 hrs of late. So i guess that 5 hrs one was a fluke. Im always on data

Buy from Samsung Service Center. Usually you need to go there click on Repair or Purchase at the counter wait for your number to be called then just tell the guy at the counter you want to buy a new Note 5 S-Pen.

Lucky then they have stock on the spot. Unlucky you need to wait 3 days to 1 week depends on when the stock arrive.

It is recommended to update your firmware because each firmware update brings improvement, stability and solve bugs in the phone.

Most important is updates give you better battery life because of improvement.

Use package disabler pro or close all your background app before let the phone into sleep.

It is recommended after each update even minor or major also perform a reset where it refreshes the phone.

Thus by the way how you define worst battery life after recent update ? May i know what your SOT time ?

u disabled something important relating to software updates.

u can enable all back, update, and use the basic.xml again

u dont necessarily have to follow his list. i did and it made my phone buggy (alot of Unfortunately, xxx has stopped)

You guys using package disabler pro wrongly. Don't use those xml file, just do it yourself and don't disable all thing, choose wisely.

Everyone's experience is different, I guess. For me, I don't really keep track of my SoT as I find that it doesn't give me an accurate picture of battery life. Often my SoT is low, but there were long hours of active CPU time e.g. audio streaming with screen off.

My no. 1 reason for disabling unwanted system apps is to lower total RAM usage and keep my phone operating smoothly. For example, I don't use the S-Pen, so I disable all S-Pen related services. I really hate applications and services starting automatically without my control. With about 200 packages disabled, I do notice some improvement in battery life but it's not earth shattering la. As long as the phone is smooth and speedy, I am a happy camper smile.gif
