No right or wrong. It's just that market's current sentiment, hype and momentum is not on glove. There are much better counter for "goreng". Therefore I don't think glove can go back their previous high at the current moment.

You can hold glove for their fundamental or you can cut/profit from glove - go goreng/profit other counters first and then come back to glove tongue.gif
*
The reason i don't advocate goreng counters is due to the fact that they lack fundamentals. The moment syndicates throw their tickets (like what's happening today in vaccine stocks) you may end up losing whatever you have made and most times more than that. Like that how to "come back" to buy the glove stocks. Already sakit hati, most people would just either stay put in the loss making goreng stocks or cut loss when they cannot take the heavy losses anymore. But if you buy those big 4 glove stocks, no matter how low they go, eventually they would rise up again. Patience is the keyword here. Best investment advice - read more books on psychology of investing.....

Lets say got 2 more dividends coming 3 qtrs 2021- interim and final. Let say another 0.400, giving you a total 0.565 or 8% based on rm7.00 share price today. LWC did say above 6% smile.gif

Can anyone please explain how tglv can be listed under US OTC market. Is it traded like IBKR? So does the company providing this share needs to buy them from Bursa or there isn't any real shares being traded?

When i ventured into stock market, i used to read fr I3 because Lyn stk exchange was very quiet then. You can hardly find postings or updates here. But this year this place becomes livelier and I3 became a cesspool. So many arguments and bric-a-brac being thrown around until some of the good sifu also left I3, some set up private telegram and whatsapp groups. A real sad case for newbies who are looking for avenues to learn the trade.

but where can we find a company currently churning 10 billion now? Covid has wreck so much damage that it will take many companies years to recoup losses, breakeven and report some gains. Airasia for example may need 7-10 years before they can turn around. The damage is so extensive it makes you wonder if you may need to dig deeper in case of RI or worst scenario when the company goes for PN17. Where can you put your funds and earn some decent dividends now?

Market focus on earnings trend too... if there is a chance that earnings might decline a lot, funds would ask... why take risk?

Is like declining dividends trend.

You can get great yield for the current price but if the dividend is expected to fall... the stock will fall also.
And yeah... not forgetting... stock prices forward....
*
Yes, i do get your points about stock prices being forward looking and ASP declining issues. But what about with those billions of cash they amass in the next few quarters?. TG could venture into a lot of other businesses especially in this current economic climates when lots of them are desperate for fund injections. . The world is their oyster as the saying goes. I do not believe TSri will rest in his laurel now. Remember he has this vision of living up to 120 years old. He is only half way there.. tongue.gif

FDA approval for emergency use should get it under political pressure. So I don’t doubt it. Hopefully it push the price crazily down tomorrow.

For the fines, not agree with what the government is doing but the fines is small amount for TG. So don’t think will have big impact on market sentiment.

That's the thing funny about mr market. When you expect it to go down, it will go up and vice versa rclxub.gif

Mine very simple - do I have better things to buy once I sold these shares?. If I have a better deal somewhere else, then I would sell, if not, just hold.
The other is - am I happy with this profit?

you are trying to time the market. So you have to be very good in macroeconomic. Not many people can do it and if you are interested, its best to start now because you still have 6 more months to learn and prepare for it.

infinite return only can get from positive constant cash flow, not from capital gain.

but current period is different and it's not the right time to buy and hold for dividend when the bull is already 11 years old.

i myself target to clear all of my assets latest by April 2021. After that, anything I go in will be super short term.

when I say clear all my assets, I do clear all my properties even earlier as well because they are not as liquid as equities. I work in Developer so I had some properties before this and I have cleared all.

so it's up to you really whether to time to market, or just hold and wait for recovery.
*
Curious why you say 6 months. Co relations with any particular event? You also mentioned clearing assets and not buying banking stocks. Please connect the unfinish dots..... confused.gif thank you

Daylights robbery. Setting a very bad precedent for future companies. Out of the fine amount, don't know how much goes to xxx pockets? Time for profitable companies to venture out of Msia and for us to get out off Bursa as well.

There's this thing called loan loss provision (acted as buffer against NPL), they have already allocated a huge amount for that. So basically the coming NPL will be absorbed by this fund.

Rose most likely because, the NIM is normalizing instead of temporarily decreasing when OPR started to be cut. When OPR starts rising, NIM will be temporarily raised.
So when OPR starts rising, banks will temporarily do better.

When you start seeing OPR rising, the share price will be shoot even higher temporarily. Like how it plungged temporarily due to OPR cut, one off modification loss and NPL. Since, you know that this improved in fundamentals due to OPR rising is temporary, and the share price will only be elevated temporarily. You should start exiting once the OPR stops rising.
*
You think OPR going to go up? With the current situation, raising it will cause further mayhem to man on the street. Doubt current finance minister/BNM would dare to do it now or in the near future.

Majority of the TPs given by the IBs are based on the assumption that some vaccines would be effective hence reducing these glove makers profit by 2022. But what if none of them work? (that's why they put the tiny print, just in case). There is no right or wrong in investing cos the decision made is based on what you foresee the future to be. When the answer is 9/10 said "YES", then i will sell off all my glove stocks tongue.gif .
