Erm... there was a time where I was MNP'ing all over these network like crazy. Honestly, apart from their marketing/management team, I really feel Digi is nothing special. Celcom can consider slightly better (it is quite subjective though). 4G coverage just like Digi, some area fast, some area slow but if play mobile games, Celcom ping is a lot better plus less lag. Maxis no need say la... 4G is good, but 3G totally cannot use (whereas Digi/Celcom 3G still can use). Celcom 2G is awesome if all you need is to make calls.
There was a time (15 years ago maybe) where I followed a friend to do some network setting due to server migration (I guess) in Digi Glenmarie and Subang HiTech. Not sure about their IT department but I think they are lazy as fuck since needed to employ outsider just to do some network setting which they could handled themselves. Maybe they can even teach their staff with a video on how to do it yourself. Also when their staffs do request help outside of our workscope, their response was like what, I requested my IT dept to do these for a long time but was told just live with it. It's so simple. I dont know how much has changed since, but I dont really have a good impression for Digi. They even jammed other telco signal inside their building (wtf). Did had the opportunity to speak with the CEO since my friend and I was doing the network setting for his laptop. Foreigner CEOs they dont LCLY like locals. Very approachable.
Just wait till you work with Axiata! lol... Actually for network performance, at least for more central areas, I view both network about the same. Yes Celcom is good for 2G coverage due to past history before their transformation to Celcom now.

actually consolidation is bound to happen in the telco industry. if you read and understand more then you will know.
Yes on paper consolidation looks good for the numbers. But really depend on the execution, too much political influences... who to retrench etc. Which vendor to use etc... Hope for the best lah. In the meantime the boat has sailed for those who never buy before today. Same goes with Glove stocks. Sometimes you need guts to buy, I don't have it. Tempted to but always thinking it can go down further after the US news to snatch gloves.
