Learnt something new. Probably shows how far off Ambank is on my radar.
Yes, it could quite possible. I'm not sure how large the starting point was but a quick google search indicated that it was around 22% today? That's still a huge stake.

they recently announced USD account. so you only convert once to USD and can trade however you want. (don't forget the rakuten 0.1% commission of each trade vs IBKR tiered pricing of min U$0.35 or U$0.0035 per share)

Choppy seas is tough when trading in the broad market.
But if we're looking at our own basket of things, sometimes the timing is right. Like I added my stake into CCK a few days ago. My little chicken company.

Boon3, out of the blue my MASTER started to show some drama. Sudden entertainment.
Info above.

Dividend usually won't have transaction fee. In Malaysia it's dividend-withholding tax.

If you buy local bursa KL shares then perhaps you are using nominees account. And nominees account under some broker have dividend handling cost and service fee

Been out of the country for a couple of weeks. Checked back in and retailer market sentiment is still very flat.

That jitter over at the Dow wouldn't help things.

Punters are known to be particularly active before and immediately after ge. It seems current gomen is pushing to award mrt3 contract before ge.

LGE is probably the most unpopular mof in history. And no pm will appoint him as mof again.

That's the game I like to play.

After a hectic 2 week schedule, finally able to sit down on a holiday and enjoy the coffee.
Considering the favourite timeframe for the upcoming election, Nov or Dec as some sources would say, Bursa being flat for the next 2 months is likely. It has been flat the entire year. As usual during elections, politically linked companies will probably see higher volatility that will attract traders. That will attract some volume in the market.
