QUOTE(watabakiu @ Jun 1 2016, 10:23 PM) LOL my comment was made to be sarcastic. Would it make sense then to go against whatever the analysts say? Or the approach is to take the analysts review with a pinch of salt? actually ar.. those analyst write ar..sometime betul sometime tak betul... so i jus read those research paper for fun unless certain thing that important i only serious go read it

As for me, I distance myself from reading the analysts, as it may cloud with my judgment on the market movement.

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Jun 1 2016, 10:55 PM) End up, u read which source? LOL truthfully, i based my decision on which stock to pick based on the trend of the stocks i am eyeing. not that technical though; i am more interested to see the fluidity (ability to buy/sell), and the relative price/time. haha a no0b approach really, but i usually get in/out (read: buy/sell) in a short time.

Thanks. EDIT: I mean those reports on specific listed companies. I am looking for something like the Thompson Earning Estimates which were published in The Edge newspaper many years ago. Unfortunately they have stopped publishing the reports. This post has been edited by csong60: Jun 2 2016, 04:35 PM

The FBM KLCI is expected to edge higher today and gear towards the 1,637 point level, in line with the overnight gains at Wall Street and European markets. The euro declined on Thursday on the European Central Bank's cautious economic outlook, while oil prices recovered on a drop in U.S. crude inventories, erasing losses on OPEC's failure to reach a deal to set an output ceiling, according to Reuters. The crude market rebound lifted Wall Street and European stocks out of the red, removing the earlier sting from a 2 percent slump in Japanese shares. The Standard & Poor's 500 index closed at its highest level in seven months, it said. http://www2.theedgemarkets.com/my/article/...ar-towards-1637
