QUOTE(howyoulikethat @ Jan 4 2021, 10:02 PM) Ever since TSLWC was asked if TG could be the biggest cap company, TG has been in too much spotlight & too easy to pick on, much like celebrities. I'm really curious about the 2.6 billion that TG 'invested' in dunno-what-on-earth-money-market-fund'. (listed as investment securities in QR)I agree that TG is desperate, coz it has many, many shareholders at stake, & its business rule is to "not lose shareholders money". But today's action of promising higher dividend payout is long overdue. It simply shows that Boon3 is correct for saying that, with so much money, might as well give cash dividends instead of SBB or for other purpose. In hindsight, Harta is definitely more prudent in managing money compared to TG. Today's TG volume is so high yet no announcements frm TSLWC? Pretty sure he bought back some. If gloves keep plunging like this, I'm not sure how many retailers like us can hold. Sakit but gotta hold on I read in an interview that the boss was actually asked about it but he brushed it aside as money market fund as it wants to gain more than fd. Now, the obvious question recently was why hasn't TG buying back shares lately. Well, with 2.6 billion in the dunno-what-on-earth-money-market-fund and 1.3 billion set aside for dividend payment, obviously TG cannot do buyback unless new money comes in or TG liquidates that 2.6 billion thingy..... TG didn't liquidate that 2.6 billion... despite yesterday carnage. All it offered as defense was that '20% special dividend' announcement.... Yup... I am scratching hair now lo... It's nothing more but a publicity stunt for me, more so when I put TG halting trade to announce that the boss bought shares into perspective.... yes, this is why you can't really fault others if they start to call TG getting desperate. Now..... what if the next bad news/selling comes ..... how then? Again it points directly at that 2.6 billion thingy ...... The boss was desperate defending the stock price around 7... but now we are talking about 5.6++ .... how come no action? How badly is his hands tied up to that 2.6 billion thingy. Was it a collateralized 'investment'? This post has been edited by Boon3: Jan 5 2021, 10:00 AM howyoulikethat liked this post

QUOTE(Daenerys1985 @ Jan 5 2021, 08:18 AM) The day has passed and the results are in. Some of the glove lovers were realistic and saw things were pretty bad. LoLShort selling was discussed a lot as expected. Nobody went for option 3, as it is typically not done to admit somebody is wrong. Nobody also had guts enough to average down again, as far as I saw. I was hoping our most frequent poster (2542 posts in this thread alone) AVFAN would come up with some introspection, but it was not to be. He acted like nothing happened. He is so good that when he buys a stock and if it goes up, he makes money. And if it goes down he also makes money. He decided to casually mention (after the trade was completed of course) that he made money intraday on Supermax. I guess he’ll have heavy losses overall, but I suppose he doesn’t care much as long as his post count goes up. It’s a good thing that there is a blocking function as I don’t need any information from somebody like him. There's no need to go for personal attack like that. He has his reasons to like glove stocks. He bought them, he recommended them for what he believed, there's nothing wrong with it. I had stocks that no ppl would buy due to value trap but I had my reasons too. You can give your opinions but please don't go for targeted attack like this. Buy glove. Rebound because several put warrants expiring soon. Then wait for the ultimate short squeeze around next month. Again, all technical buys fast in fast out . Fundamental remains intact but market doesn’t think that way. Follow the trend. Wait for institutions to fuck all those retail short sellers. Good morning folks. Glove stocks are recovering slowly especially for Top Glove where my ammo are concentrated. On a different note, last year I entered and sold Optimax twice because there was no movement. I noticed that Optimax has finally moved these 2 days, up about +12%. For the past one month, it has gone up about +29%. Well, we can't catch them all. This is not Pokemon. howyoulikethat liked this post

QUOTE(lauwenhan @ Jan 5 2021, 10:14 AM) It’s a one day effect that’s all. Day trade opportunity for gloves. Stocks are random in the short term Well, the special dividends effect. They already commit 50% and if they really commit the extra 20%, you're looking at around 2/5 of the 16.5c which is another 6~7c.So now instead of 60c++, TG could give up about 90-100c dividends for Y2021. That boost DY to double digits. This post has been edited by andrekua2: Jan 5 2021, 10:28 AM |

I am not yet selling the TG that I bought at 5.25 although I regret to not buy more after see the data yesterday. Those who buying/holding TG and spmx, be aware when the price rebound to 6.xx range. That is critical moment to see the gameplan of funds. Today RSS so far only 80,308 lots (as of now writing) compare to yesterday 1,061,116 lots. cheers! Ahkwang liked this post
