QUOTE(Boon3 @ Dec 31 2020, 12:11 PM) Ah Ngau walks into the casino. Using bull as character is misleading to some punters.Biggest noise came from the Sic Bo table. That table had gone ... BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB SSSSS BBBBB SSSS (B for Big, S for Small) As most HAD won big when the table went on the BIG streak early on. The game then went .... BBBB SSS BBB SSS BB SSS B SSSS still the betters favored betting BIG, despite the change in trend showing that results were coming out SMALL .... cause all in their minds ... was that BIG winning streak earlier .... Ah Ngau? He just walked away ... He remembers .... in the casino there are many different games offered and that he has no obligation to bet on the most popular game ...... think about it.... I am already captivated by the shouts of BBBSSS with a cup of coffee. |

QUOTE(lowya @ Dec 31 2020, 11:57 AM) bluechips no room growth and overpriced, only institutions wants to use it their portfolio to collect div or impress clients with brands. I think in that line too, not sure if there's actual big growth given long term horizon since they seem quite peaked already (just my impression).QUOTE(BboyDora @ Dec 31 2020, 11:59 AM) Yeah, that's why wanted to ask those who also believes in long term investment, as I see there are many sound investors here with varying portfolios, can learn from their perspectives.QUOTE(statikinetic @ Dec 31 2020, 12:01 PM) What's your strategy? Dividend investing? My strategy for stocks, if it's qualified as one, lol, is to diversify on both short term and long term stocks. Maybe 50-50 allocation.I don't think there are any companies we can disregard the price movement in such a timescale. From the way you are approaching it, perhaps an index based ETF might be more suitable? Now that I've experienced and burnt by volatile glove stocks, I do wanna put more into long term stocks for growth, however little, and just kuai kuai take dividends. And you're right, I am also investing on ETFs, just to again, diversity my portfolio. And if picked right, the funds seem to reap quite positive returns. QUOTE(lowya @ Dec 31 2020, 12:06 PM) however u could check out MFCB, if u consider it as bluechip, which has good growth still and price still attractive. Thanks, I'll take a look. It's encouraging to see many responses to this. Please don't stop |

I have been aware of what that old fart wrote.... unfortunately.
Yes, a lot of times, I get forwarded stuff .... yeah..yeah... ya... Now what interesting is this. Do take note ... Firstly, Kenanga CUT/LOWERED Top Glove target price from 10.68 to 8.50 on the 28th Dec. (see attachment below) The edge, as normal, picks up what Kenanga wrote. Quite a big thing cos Kenanga is cutting a huge chunk from the Target Price... https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/kena...50-esg-concerns The Star picks up what the Edge wrote... but the substantially lowered Target Price was turned into a footnote.. the third last sentence of the article. LOL! https://www.klsescreener.com/v2/news/view/7...-next-two-years https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...-next-two-years I used the klsescreener link cause it displays the same article in full. Thestar one... 2 articles commenting on that said Kenanga research report but somehow, the Star article made it look so positive! Now pay attention to the old fart article... https://koonyewyin.com/2020/12/29/glove-sto...s-so-illogical/ Which basically copies the article from that positive sounding article from the Star. BUT he cut it short. Totally omitting the following section of the article. QUOTE Kenanga Research also highlighted that there had been environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues concerning Top Glove lately. “Top Glove has been in the spotlight due to its workers’ housing conditions and high Covid-19 infections that led to the implementation of an enhanced movement control order. “On Nov 23, the government announced that 28 of Top Glove’s factories in Klang will temporarily cease operations in stages to allow the factory workers to undergo screenings and mandatory quarantine in an effort to contain the spread of the virus among the employees. “Despite earnings on a strong growth track in 2021, concerns over ESG issues could potentially de-rate the stock.” As such, the research house is cutting its target price from RM10.68 to RM8.50, based on the stock’s revised 9.1-times unchanged 2021 earnings per share. Kenanga Research is also attaching a 20% discount to its target price-to-earnings ratio to take into account ongoing concerns over ESG-related issues, particularly those related to its foreign workers. “Moreover, re-emergence of Covid-19 cases in the future could cause temporary disruption in production.” One can obviously see why he left out that section. That section contains the damming part where Kenanga cuts Top Glove's target price from 10.68 to 8.50. Shocking but true.... this is what he does!!!

QUOTE(ry8128 @ Dec 31 2020, 01:43 PM) haha no worries. I teasing you only. I on hold my queue of 6.25 at spmx two days ago as I am uncertain and little confuse of their sudden changes of gameplan as it suddenly diverged from TG. Until today I got time to check through. Now their gameplan is clearer. Plus the warrants that have problems have expired. all the best. |

QUOTE(bakayaro11 @ Dec 31 2020, 02:04 PM) Dont blindly follow others to buy, look into their projected growth, is the projected growth worth the current valuation for solar stocks? If yes, buy.If no, just choose other sectors. BarleyAis and bakayaro11 liked this post
