KLCI here is the benchmark. A high beta stock will tend to swing more than klci. A low beta stock will tend to swing less than klci.

eg high beta: Tenaga low beta: Maybank

The free one that I know is in the Bursa Mktplc website. They have analyst reports by stocks. For a particular stock, look up for an analysis report called alpha indicator. It is in the last part of the report in the risk chapter. There u can find a beta analysis.

The stock didn't "crash" . The "crash" is not a real crash but a price adjustment made after the big special dividend.

I've no view on AirAsia. There is a saying about investing in airlines and becoming a millionaire .. 😅

As I said, I don't really hv a view on AA. But I think last year they were not making much profits. Is that going to change this year you think?

At least in 2019, nikkei did quite well. Up 18%. Much better than KLCI down 6%.

Not that I know of in My and SG.

Just buy 5-6 stocks/Reits with different dividends payment dates and its possible to get monthly payments. But it tends to get more lumpy in 3Q tho.

Wow.. 14.22. So low now.! How the mighty has fallen. It was 60 bucks 5 years ago. Tempting.

The biggest problem is contraband ciggrattes. More than half of ciggrettes sold in Malaysia are now smuggled, paying no tax to the government but selling as the real deal and making huge bucks.

Free fall.. Latest HLIB report says 65% of ciggies sold in 3Q19 in this country were smuggled. Crazy.

Yes..first 3Q 2018 v 2019. Dropped 30%. But stock price has also dropped, even more at 70%.

Last Q19 report (n dividends) will be announced 4 weeks from now. Need to monitor that esp. the sales part to see how much it drop further. Note that earnings actually improved in 3Q vs 2Q.This was due to cost control measure but sales continued to decline.

If they can maintain sales at 3Q levels over 2020 then looking at 9+% dividends. If things improve, say enforcement becomes more effective, then there is a big upside. Of course, risk is that sales continue to deteriorate.

My investment portfolio has both income+capital gains, and capital gains only. Roughly about 70:30 now.

For both I will sell to take profit, but maybe not all the position.
