QUOTE(anakMY @ Aug 19 2020, 04:12 PM) wah... i dont think it will go up in 2020 man... they havent even announce their QR, definitely affected by this moratorium. Yeah same thinking, but asking him to sell now is not really a good idea. EPF buying support is very strong at slightly below this price, so dont have to worry too much.Just dont buy more cause people might panic after seeing the QR2 and QR3. Other uncertainties include Sept OPR and snap election |

QUOTE(cofin @ Aug 19 2020, 04:16 PM) maybe keep till i retired i told my colleague and siblings lol Btw cofin bro, Just hold but dont buy more. Just wait until all the negativity goes, yes you might not be able to buy at the cheapest if you only topup later, but at least. You wont be seeing portfolio getting more digits.i bought in at 6 leh ...5 topup ... 4 topup .... 3 topup ...gave up dont want look at it anymore BTW its NTA/share is RM5.53, which means (from accounting terms) if it goes bankrupt and liquidate everything, you get RM5.53/share. |

QUOTE(skty @ Aug 19 2020, 06:12 PM) admit your own mistake and don't avoid to confront the problem I disagree, investment banks are sunset industry (what buffet threw), commercial banks are not (what buffer bought). If fact, they are going into virtual banking/fintech etc. Just hold tight tight.that myvi can be easily earn back if you treat it as paper loss and switch to uptrend counter. bank might be another sunset industry looking at whether the revolution will be successful in US. If you cut loss here go into gloves, and dont have the luck. When gloves crash and banks go up, you lose both side. But if you are good/lucky: cut loss here, buy gloves, earn profit then rebuy banks back. |

QUOTE(bronkos @ Aug 21 2020, 03:58 PM) Agreed with you. Go spread fear, so you can buy low We need bad news to buy low. GenM still has theme park to be opened next year so I see clear sky ahead. QUOTE(ZeroSOFInfinity @ Aug 21 2020, 05:39 PM) Should be able to go up at least above 3 with vaccine + theme park combo. The risks are 1. the theme park reopening might be delayed again 2. the theme park rides bring unexpected accidents (super rare, can almost ignore this) But, still without vaccine, I really dont see why one should buy now... |

QUOTE(ZeroSOFInfinity @ Aug 22 2020, 11:54 AM) You can keep some, but no more playing is good idea. Plan to stop latest by end of year. Or when market does correction again (possibly at moratorium). Safer bet is to get out before moratorium, because retailers' money are largely in gloves. When they start pulling out, very hard to maintain its current price. |

QUOTE(silverwave @ Aug 22 2020, 02:40 PM) Historically, after a bonus issue, how is the share price? Up/down? Just giving u the example (Topglove back in 2010), not idea if share will go up/down this time.Any example of KLSE shares that did this before? I want to see the chart From business point of view, bonus issue/share split doesnt change its underlying business. If you are a long term investor, dont worry about it. From retailer's psychology point of view, 2 cases might happen Option 1: apply to retailers who dont know anything about share splitting, wah niama topglov drop 1/3 le, cao this counter super cheap ady, confirm can go back up one, hoot gao gao Option 2: apply to retailers who dont know anything about share splitting, wah niama topglov drop 1/3 le, cao this counter hopeless ady run QUOTE(rayloo @ Jul 27 2010, 05:11 PM) I am not surprised it coming down. 1st it is already too over priced, 2nd the price was made / pushed before the split. Now everthing has settled down, nothing more to support the stock, I cannot see why it won't go south bound or normalized. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/808931/+40Page 3 rayloo, you can read the entire thing if u want to. QUOTE(backspace66 @ Aug 22 2020, 06:03 PM) Have you count retailer that think bonus issue is something magical like getting extra money out of thin air? Some retailer actually think that way as you can see from someone post in this thread not too long ago. LOL interesting didnt think about that before |

QUOTE(PSS2020 @ Aug 22 2020, 08:08 PM) Oh, finally I know how to reply few messages in one reply. Cold Eye simplest summary for those who are lazy to read OR cant find a free copy onlineOmg, not only newbie at stocks but LYF too.. Alamak. I hope LYF can come out with an app with more function & notification. Thanks all sifu for your kind explanations 😊 I tried to google first before I ask. But sometimes I still not sure so I asked ^^ Thanks thanks! Previously many sifus recommended me some books. Many thanks!!! Today I went to Popular only found 冷眼, bought it. And found another one The Intelligent Investor but is translated into Chinese, didn't buy, I prefer to read in English. Next time will go MPH or order online, easier. PE <10 ROE > 10 Dividend > FD PLEASE DO NOT APPLY THIS ON BANKS AT THIS CRISIS (if you want to fish some banks) because i. High ROE means the banks are using a high degree of financial leverage, things could go really bad, if the financial leverages turn against them. E.g. NPL Go for banks with low P/B. Why? Many banks rely on trading operations to boost earnings (apart from loan). Trading = hidden risks, and things could turn sour when the trading goes bad in such a volatile market condition. The reason why some banks (you can search for yourself) have really low profit even though the revenue is relatively unchanged in Q1, is most likely due to the some bad tradings made. Choosing banks with low P/B shield you from the hidden risks (non core profit from loan itself) But in trading, if a bank could lose so much, the opposite is the same. So whether to take chances on the bank, is really your choice. This post has been edited by HereToLearn: Aug 22 2020, 09:03 PM |

QUOTE(eyerule @ Aug 22 2020, 08:28 PM) intelligent investor will not help you learn anything at all in this current market. also this current market won't teach you anything you can use after the euphoria is gone. that's when intelligent investor will come in handy Use this chance to buy cheap stocks when all the attentions are on the gloves. Hope you will be able to finish reading before the glove hype is over ;D |

QUOTE(infested_ysy @ Aug 22 2020, 08:49 PM) So basically... go all in on Liihen? https://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/5_rules_c..._Simulation.jspI sold out of my topglove and supermax a week or two ago. Went into dufu, frontken and GCB instead and those 3 have been going up since Sign of good things to come? Some guy did a simulation with lihen in 2013, not sure if he actually practice it. If yes, he is filthy rich by now lol https://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/kcchongnz...g_kcchongnz.jsp Sorry man, i missed out 2. NTA - it fails this criteria with P/B > 1 Cash Flow He also suggests 1. to be patience (time is money) 2. go for contrarian approach (maybe its the only way to buy cheap?) But apart from that, I think lihen is good to go. Just my 2 cents cause I dont know what Lihen does. From numbers only, i see great future for lihen This post has been edited by HereToLearn: Aug 22 2020, 09:21 PM |
