Logically should be down la lol.

USD 2 trillion + unlimited QE money will be running around the financial market, looking something to buy.

How can the logic should be down?

Is there no side effect of this unlimited money? Otherwise they can keep the market forever up just doing this same trick

For current moment, side effect is stock market up.... laugh.gif

This QE trick has been there since 2008 crisis and it works for the last 10 years or so.

It depends Fed maneuver in between. Right amount right moment, then side effect is minimised, while stablise the financial market.

Current crisis is larger than fed could handle alone. until leadership and trust is restored at the white house, fed influence could be rather limited.

DJI up again, hence KLSE also up, illogical investors. I think when there’s fed funds coming in, its like a steroid.

The side effect is rich will continue to get richer and poor poorer. Middle class will be more screwed.

US market sentiment is quite bullish over the last few trading section, and pretty stable over the trading session.

Seems like DJ has found the bottom at 19K level.

The 2 trillion and unlimited QE have done its magic.

In the short term, the market is on random walk.

The side effect is the wealth gap. If every country is doing expansionary monetary policy, it will make the gap between the haves and have not even wider.

The market is not on random walk. When QE was first introduce it was very novel, people don't know what to make of it.

Last time it was all about interest rate as a main controller, but QE broke the system. Now people know what QE does, thats why they are buying based on the hope that history would repeat itself but now its the whole world on steroids. This debt based, 0 interest rate economy is the new normal.

Every economic crisis is different, needs different tool to resolve. Japan showed low interest regime is not the silver bullet.

How much you capital you need is up to you. Trading is all in percentage terms & is the same (excluding fees).
If you invest $1000 & stock goes up 10%, you profit $100
If you invest $100k & stock goes up 10%, you profit $10k

You're targeting to make 7.5k/month = 90k/year. If you're investing, assuming a 7%.p.a. return over the long term, you'd need $1.28 million in capital.
But if you're chasing short term gains, there's no answer. You could put 1k today and tomorrow becomes 2k, or becomes 0. There's more risk involved. If you're not experienced day trading is pretty risky.

I'm more clearer right now with your metaphor helping. Yes I'm new to trading, all the while I prefer long term investment, buying divided paying stocks. But right now it seems bear market anytime...wanna get ready to trade..
