Looks like markets have calmed down, even klci has narrowed its losses. Not sure whether it's premature tho..

In the US, we have the Democratic Iowa vote today, the first of a series, to see which Democrat gets to fight Trump in the coming election. Wonder whether that will impact the market.

I thought everyone was expecting the market to have some sort of correction....

by the way, does USD tend to strengthen in times of market uncertainty? so it's best to hold USD as opposed to SGD or any other currencies?

USD, JPY and CHF are the safe heaven currencies.

WTF, major Asian markets have been shitty for most of the past few years. FBM KLCI just hit 9 year low.

LOL, unless u are referring to US markets lah.

I'm actually fond of JPY but not so much on Tokyo Stock Exchange.
JP likes to weaken their exchange rate to boost export. So if you hold JPY, it might devalue.

Having said that, I read somewhere that BoJ is almost running of options, might not be able to devalue the yen even with lower interest rates and more QE.

For KLSE, no more correction needed.

Countries want to devalue their currencies to maintain export competitiveness. Even Trump would like a weaker dollar, that's why he keep pushing the Fed to cut more.

That's a good reason to keep another currency which is Gold, or if you more adventurous also crypto.

That's why my "cash" is in the form of MYR, USD and Gold. I do have some small amount of BTC as well.

Hi all,

I bought the Icon share at 0.7 which is for fun on 25th Jan to try out as I am still new to shares.

As of today the stocks has disappeared from my investment portfolio.

May I know anybody is familiar with this and kind enough to explain?

Asuming you paid, and that u bought the share and not the OR, u better check with your broker what happened.

I think there were some screw up coz too many things were happening. Share consol, rights issue, limit ups and counter then designated. I read many oversold position.

But haiiah.. New to share market n buy this tyoe of counter.. Why la.

Realized someone was playing contra and unable to pick up. Hence, they are unable to deliver the shares to me so bursa will be reimbursing my shares.
