Yes, we can print money, but there will be consequences to MYR value.

We are not a superpower like the US. But even the US can't print money indefinitely and there will be consequences further down the road. But for developing countries like us, the dues will come much faster.

U buy it like any ordinary stocks, but no stamp duty is charged. There are 18 etfs listed on bursa malaysia. Their stock codes are all 08xxEA. Some are OK some not OK.

That's what I thought. So u have to buy their etf the normal way.

I currently own just 1 Vanguard ETF.. The HK S&P500 one.

Not that bad. The shares are kept separately under a nominee account structure. Nominee means it's under Rakuten name but actually belongs to someone else (investor). The investor ownership of the shares is protected by law.

Tbh I don't think short selling was ever a big deal in Malaysia.

But I think ur timing after April is logical. The current run up is cause by potentially MCo going to ease end of this month. After that reality will bite, restarting economy is not easy. Buy the rumor sell the news.

This is going to be announced in May. Wait and see. Most analysts are expecting a cut, either another 0.25 or more at 0.5. Banks will be squeezed more, but good for borrowers. Bad for MYR tho..
