hi all pros...i've tried all da software that was recommended in other threads but none of them worked..i just can't find the files that was deleted(words documents). all i got from the scanning are some stupid clusters with some numeric beside. any other way i can recover the lost files besides using softwares? system restore doesn't help because the restore point was not set when and after the file was created or before it was deleted. Do those softwares really work?

how you know that all need license??
i think you didnt try out all the software becoz the REST2514 didnt need to pay for license.

Ok, here's the thing,

I've a 2.5" SATA hard disk with corrupted Windows and I "accidently" formatted it.

and now I need to recover the files in it but the hard disk is still in the laptop with no OS, how will I be able to recover those files?

Can I install Windows in the drive first then recover it after?

Can anyone suggests me the possibles solution?

Thank You. notworthy.gif

the best solution is to take the hdd out and plug it into another pc. you can use those external hdd enclosure for 2.5" hdd.

If you install windows over it, it might overwrite some of the files that still inside the hdd. So, it is impossible to recover it back.
