Ok, here's the thing,
I've a 2.5" SATA hard disk with corrupted Windows and I "accidently" formatted it.
and now I need to recover the files in it but the hard disk is still in the laptop with no OS, how will I be able to recover those files?
Can I install Windows in the drive first then recover it after?
Can anyone suggests me the possibles solution?
Thank You.
the best solution is to take the hdd out and plug it into another pc. you can use those external hdd enclosure for 2.5" hdd.I've a 2.5" SATA hard disk with corrupted Windows and I "accidently" formatted it.

If you install windows over it, it might overwrite some of the files that still inside the hdd. So, it is impossible to recover it back.
