recovermyfile is the best so far .
can recovery my file which was in pc after reformat, but if file overwrite then cant recover liao.

I know one data recovery service provider http://www.diskemergency.com but I don’t know that whether they solve the problem of recovering data from recycle bin or not. But I think you should visit the website and ask about your problem. I hope your problem will get resolved.

my ext hdd is corrupt..

whats the best way to do?

format hdd 1st and recover data using file scavenger etc or directly recover without formatting?

n whats the best data recovery to use for corrupted hdd (read: not deleted files)?

It is never good to format hdd first before recover. This bad option is only used by poor man who do not have access to the right tools.
So the answer is "directly recover without formatting".

Sorry for not being able to answer your other question. I have limited experience when it comes to fully automated data recovery software. You can try all free software from links in this thread, one by one.

Basically, I do all non-hardware fault data recovery using WinHex, which I call semi-automatic tool; this requires knowledge in file systems (NTFS, FAT). You can contact me if you need expertise to have a human look at the corrupted file system.

I once exprenced sudden losing of my works that i stored in my document. But after i restart my pc, they come back. Really weird, pc try to make a serious joke shocking.gif . Some suggestions:

1. Better save your important works in /D:
2. If this happen to u, 1st thing u shld do is restart ur pc.

small update:

i used file scavenger 3.2 as recommended by most forumer here.. n the result is quite impressive.. managed to get back almost all the data.. pics, tvseries, software, mp3, docs etc...

just tips for other user who hav problem like me..
