Reason, impact the reliability of the ride availability (aka riders and Uber fees more important than drivers aka Uber partner feedback). Almost kena, so, even I reached, I decide to cancel the ride. Write to Uber to explain, no cancellation fee, reason, I don't wait for 5 min (wahlau leh, if I wait 5 min, my life and car will be in danger, and I am not Jackie Chan, Ip Man, Steven Seagal, Jean Claude Van Damme or whoever martial art expert)

Told that the current cancellation policy, need to wait 5 minutes only can cancel, or you reach pickup destination, rider cancelled within 5 min, no cancellation fee. Ask to revised. Cannot.

Ride distance is shorter than the distance drove to pick up, which does not make any economical sense nor anyone would do that. Write to Uber, reason given, again, Uber system should be as reliable as possible and available so that riders always get ride whenever needed....

The above 3 example had shown that Uber does not have any interest of the driver at all, all you care is milked as much as possible from the driver! And, how could you say you have assisted your partner, aka Uber driver Anyway, I won't blame you on that, it is rule of the game, business is all about profit, not about charity. But, your actions had borderline of ethical business conduct. Just a friendly reminder to you, there is not only 1 ride sharing service available in Malaysia, there is Grab also.....as much as you can gain ridership share from Grab, you can lost as much driver to them too....end of day, even you got all the riders, but, no drivers....you would still lose....you need to play balance game for both rider and driver. I do not have the data, but, I am sure you have, just go review the active drivers trend...is it increasing or decreasing? No point having new drivers, but, not active, or just active for short period (to hit the welcome incentive)

I won't say Grab is perfect, they have their own flaws also, but, end of day, given option, riders will choose the best ride from both Grab and Uber, same goes to drivers too, they willl choose the one who reward them the most, or treat them better.....and, how you know, just look at the churned rate of drivers compare to active new drivers rate...now, I had give you free MBA lesson already, no need thank me for that.

Huh? Really? Didn't know that, but, now the referral incentive is RM300, i.e. if I refer you, I get RM300, I thought the new driver also get some incentive also

If cancel after 5 minutes, you get RM5 (less 20%/25% uber fees). Only cancel less than 5 minutes, you get nothing but wasted petrol and fuel

For you.......what advantage of Uber over the driver is that they have the numbers, they know how many active drivers now, while we don't. So, until the number of active drivers drop significantly till Uber panic, where riders unable to get ride when request or have to wait long before the driver arrive and they get frustrated, situation will not change

Veterans got experience mah Anyway, driving Uber does not need much experience, so long as you got full licence, not P and clean driving record is ok jor.....

If any riders follow or read this thread, on behalf of drivers, apologise if you start to realised that the quality of ride deteriorate, where you may need to wait longer for your car to arrive, or even worst, no drivers around when you need them, this is due to Uber Malaysia continuously squeezing our income, which for some of us, is our main source of income, and unlike taxi, which is highly subsidized by government, as we do not able to provide the expected service quality based on the income we derived, so, many drivers had decided to stop driving altogeher or jump to competitors....just like us, you can continue to shop for the best ride based on the fare you have, this is an open market.

Guys....received an email from Uber to rate the likely hood to introduce friends, colleagues and families to drive Uber and introduce your friends and family members.....this is time to put all your feedback yeah.....

It is me who said that, coz I kena few times consecutive received 3 request, cannot remember if same request, but, for sure far/ traffic jammed area and not worth my effort and time to drive to pickup location. So, kena auto logout, when they to login again, kenot, ask to try again

I suggest don't do that, as the requester can track the trip journey, etc live, so, if they notice you reach the destination, or why the apps still show it active, still running, rider complain, Uber will refund back to rider and you going to get suspended from Uber, better not for miserable few ringgit, risk being suspended.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

Noticed majority of rude (eg. keep calling you asking where are you, ask you to hurry up, give wrong address, ffk and/or cancel) and does not pay full fare, i.e. self-round down the sen, riders are concentrated on Damansara Perdana area.

Therefore, any drivers want to pick up in the area, please exercise extreme patience and high sense of humour when decide to received ping request from this area. If you are high blood pressure person, please refrain from accepting pickup from these area later u kena stroke, heart attack, pekchek, sakit hati if really unlucky dealing with these customer, very sad lor......although these part of boost area (the lowered category one) and the demand is quite high.

Sorry for all Damansara Perdana riders, I do not wish to generalised, I still believe there are still good riders there ( I had vouched for that), but, I feel that the bad one also equally a lot. Just like taxi, there are some good and bad , but, bad one overtaken the good one, thus I feel publicly obliged to inform all drivers intend to camp or pick up riders there

Another area you guys want to avoid, Flora Damansara if you don't want pick up foreigners (i.e. Bangala, Nigerian, Indonesian, etc).....again, I wish to reiterate that, so far, I have no issue with them, although sometimes I feel bit uncomfortable, and 99% if got roadblock, sure ask to stop and come down one.

Lucky you.....I guess a lot of Damansara Perdana residence are youngster and yuppies....which usually these fella have issues, as if the whole world owed them a living, just like how there parents spoilted them last time

True, but, got a lot of spoilted kids and yuppies too, always expect immediate (less than 1 min arrival) ride, book multiple ride and simply cancel I give up on the area jor, even though it is core area.

why want to avoid toll? Toll is paid by riders

Sometimes, they will give you some hiccups also, but, seldom lah...I kena before.....claim the route you take no pass thru toll lah, etc....but, of course I use the toll records from Touch N Go statement to proof my claim lah, end up still pay me. But, after few round of email lah.... and our Touch N Go records, sometimes, up to 48 hours only reflected in the statements, never immediate

Depends your location and timing. Average between RM50-100 per day, have not deducted petrol and car maintenance yet
