Thanks. In this case I felt like Uber is fooling their Partners. In the Note box of the Uber Driver App, they should just say in CSA areas only.
Thanks man for the reply.
*
Yeah, yeah....i see most is at CSA area....wait and see how this will affect the PHG payout this week (for those who chase for it) whistling.gif

I online at 5 plus at core KL area until 6PM also no ping. zzz. check riders apps see so many drivers camping due to the boost. so I would say aim incentive better than go for the boost unless is a 4X boost like last friday.

Where you camp yourself? So bad meh? sweat.gif

QUOTE(ikanair @ Sep 26 2016, 11:44 PM)
So many ways of communications, if you just refuse out right, Uber drivers(Slave) got penalties
*customer gone with GRO to room, says open top only, GRO agrees, after open top, say must open bottom also, GRO!!! what to do, quick quick
a) GRO refuses - customer angry, complains,  mamasan whack GRO
b) GRO comes out with excuses(just use some grey matters, there's 1000 and 1 reason to think of e.g, period come, need shit, etc) - customer disappointed, but accept explaination, GRO continue with next customer

The difference is, GRO got paid a lot more than Uber drivers  tongue.gif
Before go into room with customer, GRO ask nicely, what shall it be?
*Uber driver, before swipe "Start Trip" ask nicely, "Hello, can i confirm your destination?"
if go any place you no wanna go, just use b) from above

In all cases, please note the following

If no Knife is at your throat, or Gun pointed at you, you're a still a free man/woman, free to make your own decision
Please don't waste your hard earned freedom(paid by our forefathers with blood and tears)

Uber/Grab Driver no go location - welcome to share
- You decide to go or no go
- Caveat Emptor

you think all Uber drivers drive Myvi is it? how about other car type?

Uber claim Myvi can last 18km/l......any Myvi driver want to confirm here? sweat.gif

Anyway, instead of arguing with someone who never listen, might as well we find way to counter Uber stupid policy....below is an example, feel free to share....

QUOTE(2feidei @ Sep 26 2016, 09:33 PM)
Guys....I got this idea how to counter Uber stupid weekend promotion RM5 off for those short distance ride (say less than 3km, gross fare less than RM5)

Here is the mechanics

Drive to pick up location. Ask rider go where, don't start the trip. If the trip is short, then, seperately deal with the rider. Tell them, you will still send them to the agreed location, but, you will cancel off the trip.

Reason, if you start the trip, and the gross fare is lower than RM5, don't it more untung if you cancel the ride, and got nett cancellation fee of RM4/ RM3.75 than miserable RM1 to RM2? And, there is no lost for the rider too, as the ride is free anyway, just deducting RM5 from the promo...

Instead of we, driver bear the losses for stupid Uber Malaysia policy, we charge it back to Uber  bruce.gif

Ultimately, there are a lot of drivers who prefer to drive airport trips - if you wish to not do such trips, there'll be more trips for them, I guess.
*
Really? shocking.gif Either you are ignorant who cannot accept the fact or too lazy to read thru what been discussed here so far......why don't we do a quick poll here, anyone here prefer airport trip???

Please get real, get to reality lah.....argue with facts, don't just argue with what you think you like lah doh.gif

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Sep 27 2016, 10:57 AM)
Guys what was the detection radius for KL currently?
*
No fixed one lah....I even kena 8-10km before.....and based on thinnly veiled cover by Uber when I complain of long driving distance to pick up location end up with short riding distance, the reason they gave is due to nearby no driver around, or nearby driver not accepting it, so, you got the ping. So, nothing fixed.

QUOTE(juicyliana @ Sep 27 2016, 02:01 PM)
5* means might be taxi driver trap?

ideally i like those riders between 4.8 - 4.9. u know other drivers picked them up and find that they are good.
*
So far, touchwood, no taxi trap. Majority is students or those ppl holding multiple phone or prepaid customers, as they can just bought a prepaid card, create dummy email with gmail, hotmail, yahoomail, etc, register as new customer and get the existing active Uber apps for welcome code, got RM10 free ride. And, repeat. After all, now they can choose to pay via cash, no verification required. sweat.gif

That's why guys, be careful when picking up riders....you might pick up robbers sweat.gif if your senses feel not right, just cabut when you reach pick up destination and see the riders doesn't feel right.....not worth expecting few bucks but lost your belongings, even worst, get injured shakehead.gif ....women drivers... mega_shok.gif

End of day....always remember this, you are letting a complete stranger that you don't know anything about them, neither does Uber knows or care, so, your own safety is most important than money

Lel....just cancel trip lor......reason, plenty to choose at when you cancel....of course, if you scared you kena ban, then, you go write long story in the help tab, got 1 topic where something like "serious incident you cannot complete the trip"

But, I usually just cancel it lah, too lazy to write....and, so far, haven't got suspend yet biggrin.gif After all, there is no lost to the rider what, no cancellation fee charged to them, you only rugi your petrol cost only

Seriously bro, think of it, it is worth risking income say, max I give you RM100 for this trip in return for your personal safety? sweat.gif

QUOTE(Error404 @ Sep 27 2016, 03:51 PM)
Basically I'm lazy & also Grab have cons too, you need to calculate the toll charges & adding it into total fare by yourself.
And the last part, they dont support iOS user.
App UI is very important, I have very serious OCD... Haha

They support iOS already. And, manually add in toll, this is the lazy part, as I seldom pay attention to the toll amount.

yes, you will not get any incentives...I suggest u quickly write to them tell them the situation, although their first reply to you is ask you to shut down the apps, shut down the phone and restart laugh.gif

Do you mind telling what is the Grab fare (gross) to airport? And, they charge 20% right? Currently Grab to airport is RM65

QUOTE(fortunateSA @ Sep 27 2016, 09:10 PM)

3 hours RM30 really suck... not to mention the petrol and maintenance..
*
Incentive is calculated at end of week. So, since your acceptance rate does not qualify for it, so, you got no incentive.

grabcar is rm65 minus 20% grabcar fees + rm10 grabcar add to your account = RM62.

anyway not worth doing klia trips unless you can guarantee able to get back KL not empty car. then is good.

QUOTE(doraemonkiller @ Sep 28 2016, 12:06 AM)
Although the fee is RM65 but Grab will give RM10 free credit.
RM65 (Received from passenger) x 80% (Minus Grab’s 20% commission) + RM10* (Top up into credit wallet) = RM62 NETT
*
thanks....seems Grab pay to/ from KLIA not so good compared to Uber also..... bangwall.gif

But, I guess Grab will have higher chance pickup from KLIA compared to Uber, as their fare is lower than Uber.

I've reviewed the details of this trip. The request was cancelled less than 5 minutes after it was accepted.

A cancellation fee will apply if a rider cancels 5 or more minutes after you accept the trip, or if a rider cancels after you arrive at the pickup location and waited more than 5 minutes.

We know it can be frustrating if a rider cancels their request once you're already en route. However, riders may need to cancel for a variety of reasons. Our cancellation policy is in place to ensure Uber is fair to both riders and drivers.

We appreciate your patience. Please let us know if we can help with anything else.

UberMY....what the hell is this?????

You called this fair cancellation policy??? Driver take all effort to reach the rider at the pick up location as soon as possible, and if the idiotic rider who cannot make up their mind, decide to cancel it less than 5 minutes, no matter if we are on the way, or worst still, reach the destination, and rider decide cancel, no compensation to the driver fuel and time, and you called it fair cancellation policy? You must be joking!

Then, in this case, can we waited 5 minutes only we start our journey to rider pick up location, so that we can ensure ourself that we will be compensated if the rider decide to cancel the ride? Rider got the option to cancel the ride, getting away scott-free if they cancel it less than 5 min after request. So to balance it back, I think driver should have option for that too right, only start journey after 5 min, so our petrol and time won't be wasted. Can you add in additional waiting time of 5 minutes waiting time for all ride request? wink.gif

Thank you....

To all driver, plan your journey yeah.....

oh yes, don't start with the trying to call the customer prior the trip, all those crap, I personally had tried that too, yes, they will tell you confirmed, etc....end up, later, still cancel. Some "better" one, will answer your call after cancelled the ride, citing all sort of excuse, and some worst, totally ignore your call....end of day, the fact is the ride is cancelled and you end up nothing but wasted fuel and time bangwall.gif

If Uber accepts cash how to levy cancellation penalty on those using cash?

Maybe you can start your journey after 3 mins so you won't waste much petrol if cancellation comes in in the next 2 mins.
*
The cancellation fee will be collected by next driver. Why don't we start journey after 5 min, at least we guaranteed some compensation if ride cancelled. Yes, no doubt rider will be pissed (no wonder my rating is keep dropping by week laugh.gif ) but this is what need to done to counter-balance the unfair Uber "fair" cancellation policy

QUOTE(guanteik @ Sep 28 2016, 03:26 PM)
Dude, agree with you. 5 minutes is a joke especially we immediately get to the destination once we get the ping. Anyways, as driver, we should not rush there immediately because I also encountered trolls from fake Uber riders. Trollers will cancel their trip after a while.
*
Average 1 to 2 every day.....but, what pissed me off is that those who cancelled after I divert initial plan journey to the destination (ie turn into traffic jammed area, instead of avoid) or reach pick up location. Those along my plan ride location still acceptable to me

QUOTE(kluseng @ Sep 28 2016, 03:29 PM)
Some of the trolls may be taxi drivers! Maybe the cash system may encourage more trolls.
