1) - You will not know the fare (both cash and CC) nor destination.
2) - Of course, and to your preference as how much you wanna round down or up.

Example, my preference would be rounding down to nearest ringgit for below 50 cents, and exact cents for above 50 cents. And sometimes I cincai kira (a little discount) if the rider is pleasant to chat with. I happy, rider happy.

I'm still okay with 4/3-star for my once-in-a-blue-moon-moody-mood "service". But getting 1/2-star out of no where or no freaking idea from whom/which trip, is a very sucks feeling.

It takes a few 4-star to signify drop in rating, but it's only need a 1-star to do the same dropping. And, you'll see much impact (with 1-star) if you have less than 500 rated trip.

IMO, in rider apps, a rider will not be able to rate 1/2-star at drivers with high rating (e.g. 4.8 and above) due to driver's diligent and consistent services. Maybe a lowest of 3-star. Of course, this method is not applicable to new drivers, and for drivers who achieved more than 500 rated trips, thousands of completed trip.

This is a way to combat arsehole-riders

Hit 18, you get 40
Hit 39, you get another 70, summing up to 110. Same calculation as to weekday quest and weekday morning "rush hour" quest.

I can hit almost every weekend, weekday also can if I have spare time from full-time job, and rarely can hit 5 (minimum) rush-hour quest, always ended up with long trip.

I don't have 18 trips all these while.. always is T1=24 & T2=39, last weekend 24 for 40, 39 for 100. Your T1 are a better deal. Quest value will be diff for each driver. Surprisingly for this week, I don't have T1 at all.. die die also need me do 54 and 39 to get the bonus

We are not picky. FYI, we can't even see your destination in the first place. What he did was evaluating "the cost".

Unless you are willing to top-up? Now comes another question, how much top up is the right amount to satisfy both party? Doubling? He's happy but you're not. Less than double? Probably you're okay with it but still he will not earn much, and time wasted traveling to/back from Nilai when he can earn more in KL.

Dear fellow UBERmen,

I think my quick question is more suitable to ask UBER rider here, or any of you (fellow drivers) can clear up for me, as below:

Whenever a driver accepted a ride request, can rider knows the driver is occupied and need to drop his customer first before able to pick him/her? Does rider apps has indication for that matter?

This will be an interesting topic for all, let's break it down and look into..

- Okay, lets take 3 hours of waiting time (usually much longer than that on usual day, non-biggy event such SEA Games)
- Can do 4 trips a day, consistently? Sure or not, I'm doubting that but let's put a doable number, says 3.
- Fare would be around RM75, RM65 for flat rate, RM10 for tolls.. at 25% for newcomers. Gross profit at RM58.75 (48.75+10)

Operating Hours:
- Hours spend, an hour travelling to KLIA to begin, 3 hours waiting + an hour of trip to KL (assuming all KLIA jobs are to KL)
- 1 + ((3+1)*3) = 13 hours of working.

Operation Cost:
- Initial 50KM to KLIA (for those drivers not staying in KL, nearer), 1 job from KLIA & returning to KLIA (60*2, 120KM), 2 job, another 120KM, 3 job (last trip), what about going back home from KL? Okay, let's take 10KM
- 50 + 120 + 120 + 60 + 10
- 360KM/day

Gross Earning:
- RM48.75*3 (no point to include tolls as it is redeemable back from UBER)
- RM146.25

At this point, I no eye to see nor wanna conclude it anymore from the figure above..

RM146.25 for 360KM of mileage, what about your fuel consumption? What about time spend?

I can gross above RM300 for 360KM, minus petrol would be around RM220, time spend is around 12-14 hours, What I can get even more? Quest incentive from morning rush, weekday, and weekend quest too, almost (25*5)+120ish+120ish, RM365 rough bonus..

I've tasted once queuing in KLIA for 4 hours with queue number within 80-90.. after that experience and back to my calculation board, it is just not worth it to me. I only or maybe will take KLIA job if the queue is less than 80, meaning 70-80.. Due to recent SEA Games, I expect the queue would be lots faster to get your turn because mass tourists are flowing in.

Funny thing is, no matter what time I ended at KLIA (after dropping a rider), the queue will always stay full, maybe once or twice 80-90

75*4, 300-25% is wrong, tolls are not subject to commission, refer to my rough~~ calculation.

If you don't mind to share, I am very curious to know how can a driver achieving 8K by doing this way, I mean "airport driver". I'm guessing the 8K is gross number, or rounded figure~~ maybe 7.5 rounded to 8~~

The most important, good service (+drive a comfortable car), you will get repeat customer (and these will be offlines jobs  biggrin.gif)
Setup a small group(3/4 people) of like minded drivers and you can covers each other
Once you build your customer base, you should be hitting > 8k+/month (long hours+ungodly definitely)

None says it is easy job,but if you've no paper qualification/in demand skill set, hard to find another jobs that pays as well

It does look nice at the ballpark figure.. let's see..

4x65x30=7800 (awesome figure), but you haven't minus the commission from UBER/GRAB. It became 7800*0.8=6240 or 7800*0.75=5850 (newcomer). That's what you get.. Oh hey.. what about petrol?

Again, assuming an average of RM50 for a tank (for efficient FC cars)
20% earner, 6240 - (50*30) = 4740
25% earner, 5850 - (50*30) = 4350

Still a nice number, right? Well, like @bcombat mentioned, there chances of getting KLIA to Nilai, Cyber, Putra.. means getting a little lesser from the calculation.. don't forget for car's FC too, mean a little more lesser..

Time wise, 16 hours? like @Utopia Angel said, you "live" in your car. Napping is not a proper rest, you will get worn out. And there are much more to factor in. It is a good earning (with longer hours) for those lower qualification or retiree, but I don't agree this method will benefit in term of health and mental in the long run.

There's one thing I'm sort of agreeing with you there on repeat customer, means a guarantee offline jobs to cover contract jobs/rides.

Yeah, we can do that, meaning to say picking up "stray" rides along/toward KLIA.. instead of an hour to reach KLIA and back to queue, we could end up 3 hours to reach KLIA. Also depends on luck to get a ride from KL to KLIA. There are dozen of drivers around.

Applying "set a destination" in my scenario, 4 trips a day became mission impossible, unless your car is your home. XD

Furthermore, we can only use twice "set a destination" a day~~ whistling.gif
