Guys guys guys, give me one reason why i'm not going to order the best performance noctua fan? i'm about to order 2 units here....  hmm.gif
*
lol..they are irresistable dont they?I was considering about this last time cause RM65 is abit steep but heck, for something that is silent, performs well, and like a once in a lifetime chance to get these fans, i place an order for 2 as well...lol...

Bro irangan,

Just read about the NH-U12F description you have on the first page and saw this :

Using the supplied Ultra-Low-Noise adaptor, the noise level can be lowered to only 8dB(A)!

What is that Ultra-Low-Noise adaptor and what does it do?Is it available for sale?

I remember last time read from a review somewhere about it, it is a cable which have a resistor inside which will make the fan to spin slower, that is, lower rpm, so the noise will lower too...but of course the CFM will lower too... but it will still work great...but I think that require you have a great air flow casing and you are really look into very very silent setup... icon_rolleyes.gif  correct me if I am wrong... notworthy.gif
*
Oh..if thats the case, then not good for me..lol..I thought it was able to do the same CFM at much lower noise level.lol..Anyway 17dB should be fine with me.If i wanted something slower, i could get a fan controller..THe S12-1200 doesnt come with a fan controller isit?

Using a fan controller to slow it down mean it will have lower CFM lor...it is same with using the adapter except one is permanent and the other can change... and yes, the S12-1200 does not come with fan controller, they use the adapter instead of fan controller... and you need to purchase it separately, it not come together... icon_rolleyes.gif
*
How much you think it will cost if purchased seperately and how low will the CFM become if use with the adapter?

Yup, there was no other position possible.

The back fan is spinning at 42 CFM, it's just a generic cooler master type. I don't think the psu fan is anything special either, very likely it's low rpm. I don't know if the cables can be arranged more neatly, as two ends are pulled a long way below for the gc and hdd but I'll try.  sweat.gif

Here's another closer look of the ram slots being overwhelmed lol,
*
lol..I guess you dont need to worry too much. Even my Zalman Fatal1ty is blocking 2 of my ram slots and i am not able to use them last time..

I did order extra U12F and fan because the next bulk not that fast.
*
Wow..Nice to hear that.. rclxm9.gif If i tested my fans when it arrives and its up to my expectation, i might grab another pair from you (if you still have stock left and i have my budget doh.gif ) for side intake as well...

Sure.. Remember to post your result IF it is a good one. Hahaha

I am sure its going to be a good one but too bad i dont have enough budget now to get it.Overspent in a few other areas.Since i am going to get the side panel fan for my LL case, i am surely going to get at least 1 more fan from you but have to wait and see when or you still have stock or not by that time..

Or maybe wait BULK V5 lor.. thumbup.gif

even thought it is not cheaper than TT and SS fans, but for sure it is quite than TT and SS fans while maintaining the CFM and performance... icon_rolleyes.gif  for me, RM65 is worth it... flex.gif
*
Well, i guess its more like half the CFM of the SS and half the noise of the SS as well. Depending on which you need more and both are priced around the same.I saw both is a good buy but since Noctua is harder to get here, of course Noctua is worth thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

There you go, irangan. Akachester here explains my statement with much accuracy  icon_idea.gif  As I said and will now repeat, there's absolutely no posibility that you won't be able to sell off extra fans, so if you could, I'd say getting more than 10 units would be smart, coz you won't have any probs wink.gif
*
I definitely agree here. My best guess is that even extra 10 for sale is not problem at all IF you do not mind keeping them at hand.As i said, i might get one or two more when my budget arrives (tight handed now due to massive upgrading) as side intake as well as if i find the FM121 too noisy to my liking..

Do you have experience with SS fans Kataro?

Is the higher CFM worth the trade off for louder noise? Can the noise be reduced thru lowering the fan settings? Id so, how much lower to make the noise acceptable?
*
Kataro have a FM121 as exhaust in the PC. Anyway, i have the FM82 which is roughly similar there. For me, if you are a silent rig enthuasist, having the SS fan at full speed is a nono. Very noisy to my liking (of course still better than delta fans). For me, roughly 50-60% of the speed is tolerable.

Not to mention, of course the cfm is great. Air pushed out was awesome and it is definitely good. The only problem is the noise level. However, i had once tried switching the fan around (top fan, from intake --> exhaust) and to be honest, the voice level dropped. My guess, the more blockage you have, the noisier it became...

Advice: If you could really tolerate sound, yes, its a great purchase. Luckily it is bundled together with a controller. Having the fan at 50-60% of the speed can reduce alot of noise but still maintain a good airflow as well...

Irangan buddy, ORDER WITH CONFIDENCE!!!  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif  Anyway, if the impossible happens, as in pigs start flying, akachester cons someone (hehe, no offence bro, just messing around with my sense of humour) and the fans don't sell out, you have my word that I'll stick my head out to help you handle your sales and promotions if you do get too busy for it happy.gif Just a way of expressing my gratitude for giving me the wonderful Noctua-ish experience smile.gif

*
Ok..sure.I will inform you later if i really needed you to do that.Anyway, i am willing to pay the extra postage for that as well. Thanks alot..Will keep you in touch.

I'm reading the noctua review at anandtech right now, http://www.anandtech.com/casecooling/showd...spx?i=2976&p=5..

Is 30 C even possible? I usually get 38-39 C and currently cpu temp is 42-43 C, not gaming, no music/video just surfing.

I'm using the athlon 64 3000+ no oc.

Here's the anandtech chart.
*
Yes its possible. Last time out, when i am using my Athlon64 3000+ Venice E6 (bear in mind its the Venice E6, not sure about other core), my idle temperature used to be around 28c using Zalman Fatal1ty. Not sure about what the Noctua can do though..

What is mobo bend?

I just attached the FM-121 as outtake yesterday and now the sys temp is 33C but cpu temp is still at 41-42C. The FM-121 is set at 2000 rpm.

Was hoping to lower the big difference between sys temp and cpu temp.
Initially I also use msi cool and quiet, but at the first week of using the noctua fan there was a weird glitch, the fan speed would fall under the minimum temperature and the core center would beep, so now I changed it to manual mode with the noctua fan at top speed of 1278 rpm.

Here's the pic, I've since pulled the cables back into the empty drive bay in the top left but yeah, the cable-fu here is very bad. Also the intake air passes through hot hard disks, but then the sys temp now is okay at 33C, hoping to lower the cpu temp..
*
If i am not wrong, mobo bend is a problem that occurs when you have a bad HSF mounting and the HSF being too heavy, causing the mobo to bend. I have this problem last time even on my P4 stock HSF whereby the mounting is too tight causing the mobo to bend abit..
