I will change my NH-12F fan to different orientation this Saturday, I will post the different in temp after done in the Air Cooling Thread... The combination I will use to test the temp are:

Silverstone FM-121 at rear, Noctua fan on NH-12F push air to rear;
Silverstone FM-121 at rear, Noctua fan on NH-12F pull air from front to rear;
Noctua fan at rear, Silverstone FM-121 on NH-12F push air to rear;
Noctua fan at rear, Silverstone FM-121 on NH-12F pull air from front to rear;

The purpose of this test is to see whether it will have different in temp in push or pull, and how much it can be cool down if using high CFM fan, and I have promise DaRkSyThE will do the test by put the FM-121 to the NH-12F...

Good heatsink. Just got it yesterday, and play OC. My E6600 about to reach 3.5GHz with around 45~46C when open case, around 48~50C when close case.

The fan is very nice, very quiet. But my fan is better when OC.. hehe

er...you mean I need to have same speed fan at rear casing and the NH-12F ar?    Should I get another FM-121 to put on NH-12F so that I will have same speed fan at rear casing and NH-12F? then I can use the Noctua fan as intake fan...   good idea too...   I will think about it again...need to plan my budget too...got a lot of plan but got little of cash...

Maybe I will get another 2 next time, then I can have 2 FM-121 on NH-12F and another at the rear casing...then the noctua fan put at the CDROM bay there to blow my hard disk, then get another maybe 60-80cfm fan as intake...should be ok gua...will try to test it next time...hehe...

My Noctua fan show 800RPM without the ULTA cable connect? Should't it be 1200RPM?

The best Push-Pull effect is to have a wind tunnel effect. A higher pressure CFM fan should be located at the Pull (Rear) side. In short, the difference in air pressure movement will create Vacumn Pulling like effect to expel the hot air to the back case fan. In general, that's to say :

Pressure:  (case rear fan) > (pull fan) > (push fan).

Then it will create a gradual pulling air movement effect.

If you are having a rear 12cm case fan,and you intend to use a single fan configuration,  it should be of a higher pressure than the 1 placed on the HSF. To increase air movement efficiency, a semi closed shroud should be constructed from the rear of the HSF directly to the rear case fan.

You can check out my temp at Air Cooling Thread there...mine running more than 1200rpm, sometime even go up to 1300rpm++ (mostly during hot weather or during load)
ic...so let say I use Noctua NH-S12-1200 (80CFM++ (not sure is this the correct value) as push, FM-121(110CFM) as pull, and then use NMB (like the one in your sig there which have 118CFM) at rear casing there, then it will have gradual pulling air movement effect right?

Yup, worth the wait and worth the money...I am very satisfy with it...

should be great too...but I can't tell coz my mobo don't have temp sensor for the nb chipset...   btw...I already take out the NC-U6 out from my mobo coz it is very inconvinient for me to put in the fan clip and everytime I want to take out fan clip or put it back, need to push the NC-U6 untill sweat a lot...and that is not good for the chipset I think coz keep on moving here and there...  

already install back the mobo stock nb cooler...so no clearnace problem with the fan clip...anyway, I will save the NC-U6 for my next mobo...gonna get mobo that the nb and cpu distance is far away...

I may want to order both the U12F and U6 too, mate. But one problem rose while I was thinking of the dimensions. If I install the U12F in a position where it is blowing air towards my rear exhaust fan, its fins should already collide with my original Northbridge heatsink on my Asus mobo. The current heatsink is around 2.5 - 3cm height from my mobo, so will it be able to fit under the fins of the U12F?

Also, if so happens that it DOES collide and won't fit, will changing it to the U6 solve the problem? And as I heard but am not sure of, is it true that the new units of the U12F now have the cool Noctua logo on them?

actually, even is put fan clip one time, also is a big problem...need to adjust it many bit... I change it as that day I want to do the test for the Noctua fan push & pull and the FM-121 push & pull...
