As u can see fr pic. I feel hot between the icute fan and the heat sink. then below the heat sink where the ram is located around that area also very hot. the heat sink and the PSU almost touched. and i think my heat sink is hotter than before.

fan is coming? hurray!!! rclxms.gif

I think you need to do some cable management to make the air flow better and the rear fan, maybe change to something better? icon_rolleyes.gif I think your ram area is also air flow problem...

What do you mean by your heat sink is hotter than before? You mean the Noctua heatsink is hotter than before or?

A typo, its PSU is hotter than before. Judging by output air.
Cable management, will do that tonite. See hows the result later.
Abt the rear fan, any suggestions?
*
The Noctua Fan have about 40CFM+, so getting something similar or greater will do. If you want, you can get the Silverstone FM-121 (noisy abit than Noctua fan at full speed) which have a 3 1/2 inch controller that can be put at floppy area there. FM-121 have 110CFM+. Or maybe you wanna get another Noctua fan (very silent) which is of course similar CFM with the one in the HS... brows.gif

Damn! My lowyah cooler master fan is 1220 rpm..

I think, can I just dump the rear fan and use the noctua fan to push air into heatsink and then possibly the force of the air will go past it and out the rear?

Is that recommended?

Iringan, can you pm me the price to send to kuching? Thanks, I'll probably pay yomolo.
*
No, it is not recommended as you hardly feel the air go thru the Noctua Fan, so I think you better get an 120 Fan that have 40CFM++ for the rear... icon_rolleyes.gif

Basically what you're saying is the pulling effect from the rear fan gets higher priority than the push effect from the Heatsink mounted fan right?

I can mount it like that since dun feel like buying a new fan at the moment, but is it stable..? Any drawbacks?

The cooler master fan -
120mm
12 VDC
1220 rpm
42.7 CFM
22 dB noise
*
hmm.gif seem like your cooler master fan have nearly same spec with Noctua fan which have 1200rpm and 40+ CFM too... but I think Noctua fan might be better than the cooler master fan... follow irangan suggestion might work too... icon_rolleyes.gif

the CM fan well..i can say its crap..40cfm? its BS really..coz i can jus feel very very little wind push from the fan..dump the fan buddy..even its silent but id say its jus too weak

im running a over 100cfm fan as my exchaust..but of course not full speed..i put my hand between the sink n rear fan i can the suction..all u need is a better rear exchaust fan..
*
oic...CM fan is crap...anyway, me too using 100cfm+ fan (FM-121) and I run it at full speed as my room is very hot especially during hot weather... dare not run at lower speed ... sweat.gif

yeap bro..can feel very very i must say very little air thru the fan only..my mouth can blow better than it haha but good point is its very silent..

bro..full speed?  sweat.gif not noisy meh..25mm fans need alot speed to push alot cfm..change to 38mm thick fans laa..keke..im using this japan servo..jus run at something 35% speed it can push alot air n very quiet  thumbup.gif
*
hmm.gif maybe I will consider that... for me, running full speed also not too noisy lar... because most of the time I watching movie and listening song using earphone...hardly heard the noise... tongue.gif coz my speaker is the one last time come with my HP PC...now broken liao...

You mean your fan run at 35% speed can provide 100cfm? that will be incredible great... or I misunderstand your point... blink.gif what the brand of the fan? Penaflo? Delta? Nidec? sorry I am not very familiar with fan...

lol..i am not sure why they send it to me though. But if you really wants it, i just realise that they are having the catalog as a promotion item which is going for free as well. From there, you could even order more stickers FOC..lol..

http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=promo_order&lng=en

The catalog did show some of the fans that everyone (including me) is craving for. From 8cm to 12cm as well as a brand new HSF known as the NH-U9F..Really nice i must say..

EDITED: From Noctua's catalog and their website, they like to specify its airflow in this way : Airflow 53 m³/h. Is that equivalent to CFM (normally used in fans)?
*
According to saoirse here, the conversion between m³/h and CFM : 0.58857m³/h=1cfm

So, d coolers also have extended warranty?I mean d NC-U6..

Added on April 9, 2007, 10:18 am

Well, then how about the NC-U6?Does it have extended warranty?

Wow..if 0.58857m³/h=1cfm, the the NF-S12 1200 have about 81m3h at about 17dB(A). Which means 50+cfm for 17dB(A)..I am starting to like it..lol...
*
hmm.gif I do not know whether NC-U6 got extended warranty or not...wait for irangan reply...

as for the CFM, should be 47.67CFM as per post by saoirse... that is 81*0.58857 = 47.67417 CFM to be accurate... icon_rolleyes.gif

NH-U12
Arctic Silver 5 (3.5g)
NC-U6

Do they fix in to ASUS A8N-VM CSM mobo???

PM me the bank in detail if they could.
*
If you have a casing where the PSU is at the top, then NH-U12 cannot be fix as push to rear (180 degree)...if fix it push to PSU (90 degree), might collide a bit with your ram slot there, but I am not too sure, you need to measure yourself...if from the center of the screw of your proc socket there till ram slot there is more than 63mm, then should be ok... icon_rolleyes.gif

As you choose the NH-U12, that mean no fan, if your mobo have no problem to fix it 90 degree, then the NC-U6 will be fit very well... icon_rolleyes.gif
