Not necessarily, it depends on how you use it. Even though nano is flash-based, it will (probably) spoil it when you drop it, just like it would on the ipod video.

1st, ask yourself some questions:
- How big is your music library?
- Is it value for money? (The video is more value for money then the nano)
- How big will your music library be in few years?
- NEED to watch video on the go?

Hope it helps laugh.gif

basically:
flash memory have no movable parts, where harddrive has rotating disc..
movable parts == have more tendency to spoil

you dont hv to worry about dropping it or running with it that might affect the hardrive. the ipod video versions are fitted with toshiba HD which can witstand a huge shock like 500G while idle and 50G whn reading.. so u need not worry. and i think its got like 64mb for storing data so less power comsumption and lesser disc reading.
(rough figures.. i forgot exactly how many Gs but i know its unbelievable. check www.ilounge.com)

YOU ONLY WORRY ABOUT THE SCREEN!!! lol
