You cannot salahkan MS. You tak baca TOS sampai hapis. Ramai orang suka salahkan orang lain.. Tapi sendiri yang tada baca TOS dan Agreement. Jgn pandang remeh benda macam tuh lain kali.

Ahhhh. The old and classics excuse: Try before you buy. So Lame!!! PERIOD!!

Ok... this is pissing me off, look, when MS pays all its staff worldwide the same friggin salary, then i'll worry about the plight of software developers, when they agree that what i am buying when i buy a game is the friggin content and not the medium its delivered in (ie a disc / tape / R2D2), they i'll worry software developers income statements, when holier than thou types with in all likelihood a room full of pirated dvds, music and software give it all up and exclusively buy original stuff, then i'll worry about the philosophical repurcussions of piracy.

I have said i buy original games. if a disc gets spoiled, does friggin MS give me a new one for the price of a disc? NO!! so they can go jump in a big friggin vat of "woe is me" for all i care as i will continue to find ways of backing shite up!

Most of this "piracy is lame" crap has started AFTER game prices dropped to very acceptable levels, and i admit they are at VERY acceptable levels. But where were your friggin principles when games were expensive??? Don't know about you but i was buying original games then too...

This was a simple technical question... i wanted technical knowledge and thankfully, i got some. If i wanted philosophical inputs, i would have asked someone at the nearest church / mosque / temple.

Sorry, but i needed a rant, i'll stop now. Thanks again to everyone for their responses.

Best regards,

Pars.

Actually the try before you buy philosophy is neither lame nor twisted. It is the results of years of bad games developed by subpar companies. Heck, even established companies comes out with shitty games at time.

Demos are one way to go, and the XBOX Live is quite a good place to try new games. It is not perfect yet, but its a good step. Reading reviews can only help so much because it is such a personal experience when it comes to gaming.

I can test drive a car before buying. I can test a TV/digicam/DVD player/audio system before buying. Why can't I test games?

Anyway pars is buying original games and backing it up, its not as though he is buying pirated and backing it up (that would be sick). Sometimes, I find the "original" warriors jump on people far too easy.

As for the XBOX Live account, if you used your credit card to pay for the subscription, it is stated very clearly that it will automatically renew when it expires. Always read things carefully before you sign up for things. Don't be quick to blame MS for it.

Some ppl have been against piracy even when original gameboy games cost around rm 300 each and had to be bought when holidaying overseas and will take offence to such statements cool2.gif

Pars make his point clear, he want to backup his original games so he would be able to store them safely so it doesn't get damage. As you know the current xbox360 design can scratch or damage ur disc easily and yes I do hear shit from lot's of ppl that their disc get scratch even they dont move their console too. So better be safe than sorry, it is just pointless to buy the same game for multiple times, like what Pars says, we buy the game for it's content not the media type. Who care whether it comes in CD. DVD, HD-DVD, UMD, cassette tape, Magnetic tape or etc, what we care about is the content.
