Hey thanks for all the replies... lots of useful information. Truth be told, if i was aware that this was going to be an issue, i would probably have gotten an original box. That said, i would probably have wanted it modded to see what was possible anyways.

I don't like the idea of microsoft telling me what i can and cannot do with hardware that i have purchased so I still want a modded set, just modded the way i want it to be... especially considering i buy original games.

yes i agree with u on tht degree. but it's not just MS ok. even the PS1 had its fair share of overheating problems when the first batch came out.

ok it was July then, i bought a 1-month subscribtion of xbox live( for july only)
after that my 360 broke down, haven played any games since then.
now here's the problem.to day i checked my NexG credit card and i found out that @#%@# MS just charged me RM120 for the last three months of xboxlive!!! and i didn't even order that nor played ONE CENT of it!!

my question is:
1) after you subscribe for 1 month, does MS automatically renews it after that every month?

2)if yes, how do i stop MS from charging me now onwards? (i've check their website and couldn't find any links)

3)if no, wat can i do to get a refund?

2. call them and ask to stop. if unable to call last resort is ask your cc to block payment to ms.

3. try call them and negotiate.
