Everyone is good in their own special way. . .

No one is better than another because no one person is the same. . .

And what more everyone has different opinions and tastes to music . . .

But IMO we have alot of good talent but because of the Malaysian mentality of MTV generation, we guitarists are heading towards a decline. . .

But comparing us to other countries, we still have a very long way to go, because the Government is still not really supportive of us musicians and we have no real good exposure to real guitar music.

DVS, Alex Peters, Fasy, Zack, Sham Kamikaze, Metalasia, these are the ones that will continue to raise the bar and more will pick up the flame, we just need to pool together and get the best out of each other since our community is very small.

In years to come we may be able to reach the heights of other countries where music has been far longer in their culture then us.

I for one am very happy that there are people like Blacktrix and co settign this up for us to be able to share our minds and music together.

Cheers and Kudos to you guys! Keep it up!

Who knows, one of us could be the next great individual who would bring guitar playing back to its glory days!

our government should open their eyes.. music also can brings influence to the world.. but what happen right now that our government is so primitive when talking about music.. they never care about music scene.... we have a lot of talented artist ranging from guitarist, drummer, bassist, vocalist but at the end only vocalist were showing off their skill... We will be left behind and going nowhere... shakehead.gif

Erm....isn't that the same with nearly any music scene? The vocalist is the face/voice of the band. Non musicians will not really know much about the musicianship behind the music unless in a live situation where there will be some awesome shred and what not. The reason why you see more instrumentalists in the west is because they have a bigger market and better marketing machine not because their government says "lets let the guitarists take the limelight".

I do agree with you that the Malaysian government's view on music is stuck in the stone age. I looks as though they really fear we will lose our moral values and all that. I almost feel they don't trust us.

Just my opinion yea, not out to flame you.
