Hi folks,
WHo do u think is Malaysian best guitarist? Why do u say so? rolleyes.gif

Are shredders the leading pack?True? What make that guitarist stands above the rest? Sounds easy huh? Well, keep the ball rolling.

Hopefully at the end of the day, we could all come to a certain consensus on this topic.

what i think is, there are alots great guitarist in malaysia well including old ones. Many of them just dont show up in band or what. There are alot hidden dragon seriously..even in LY also i guess hehe. There will nvr be a solution for u until local music become very active and popular. Guess alot ppl will pop up cuz apart from music enjoyment they also wan fame, good prospect of income n so on.

many young guitarist who had bands never really into shredding or very technical stuffs. you just look at those indie or mainstream bands, most of them just play radio friendly songs, simple modern rock, or just plain emo. so boring.

Focus on song-writing skills lah. The overall package/delivery more important.

Cannot rely on guitar totally to impress people.

No point having all the best band with best guitar/instrument/vocals when you got crap original songs.

LOL. You've seen him play?
The truth is, there's no "THE BEST" because it's subjective.

Anyway, my list of local good guitarist would be Man Kidal, Hillary, Sham Kamikaze, Zack Kim (ok, he's technically not Malaysian but since he has been here for some time...), Rithan Deja Voodoo Spells...the list would go on I guess laugh.gif

writing a 3 chord song is nothing, but if majority of the local music listener prefer that way, then cannot do much lah.
