I have already said I don't have any Unifi account. I repeat, I am only using a wireless Hotspot service at my flat and have no fixed internet account with any service provider.

Ssshhh, simply enjoy it while it lasts.. innocent.gif

just to add question on this iflix - for one unifi account, how many devices can use the iflix for free? eg, mobile, 2 ipad...can all 3 devices watch for free 1 year?
*
The 1st 5 devices (that are used to access iflix from Unifi), be it a phone, laptop, desktop or tablet will be able to access iflix for free over the next 12-months using any Internet service provider (ISP). Having 5 devices work on any ISP after the initial activation is pretty generous and I believe the list can't be reset. If you want additional devices, you need to subscribe separately on that device to iflix.

But I thought I read the FAQ before, if you want to change devices , you can. Just need to remove one from the list and replace with a new one.
*
Read around a bit and it appears an update to that effect was made last month. It does seem possible to remove a previously registered device in iflix’s settings and register the new one.

Hei..today while watching iflix. I go do clear browser history. Then it ask me to sign in again for iflix. Once i go in, it say

"You have exceeded the number of allowed devices (maximum of 5) for your household"

How to solve? Using unifi does not require sign in..just enter iflix url and play. now it come out this error

Hi..yes..i face exact same problem like what sos provided-->leong say in that post..already ask thru their fb page for help and also use their contact us system to ask..so far no reply yet..

Wonder there is any solution
*
So you tried deregistering or deactivating a device and can't? Can you confirm that and also that you already have 5 devices registered under your Unifi account? Are you using the same browser that was initially running iflix before clearing the browser's history? Perhaps, it's a bug.

hi guys,

I have this m8 android media player and I'm trying to get it to run iflix. However, I can only hear the audio while the video is blank. Anybody has any idea how to fix this? Or is it simply not supported..
*
Its possible the latest apk is unsupported... Contact the iflix team for a fix and try searching around for older apk versions... Might get lucky.

I don't know whether to share this for those on 1 mth trial versions , but I'll take the risk of Iflix pluggng the loophole.

Just before your 1 mth Trial ends, clear the Browser cache (Windows, don't know about Android), and start a Trial again. Then give another email address and start another free 1 mth trial.

I will continue doing this every mth until they end their 1 mth free trial campaign  biggrin.gif
*
This is normal.. Possibly cuz their trial system is based on email registration & stored cookies... The primary reason why Netflix requires a charge card or PayPal account linked to one's trial account.. Free emails can be gotten in seconds, PayPal & bank card verifications are much more of a hassle. Eventually, one will run out of charge cards.. Same can't be said for new emails.

Edit: Disclaimer notice... Such techniques are frowned upon.. shakehead.gif

Nothing to frown upon. I am grinning from ear to ear  biggrin.gif

They didn't say anything about not allowed to use different emails for free trial. Until they plug their loophole, it's their problem, not mine.

If people can use Kodi to watch Live Events, Movies, TV shows for free that are protected by copyright, what I am doing is nothing compared  biggrin.gif

Hey, no argument here.. It's a disclaimer incase some folks have funny ideas.. A man's got to do what a man's got to do whistling.gif. However, just cuz you refuse to see it as your problem does not make it theirs.. As such practices, at the very minimum, are ethically & morally wrong. We can't deny that. Iflix, Netflix, big media trusts us to be fair (well... tongue.gif). Summarily, one does not commit a smaller crime, then when caught & tried, points at others who committed bigger crimes and got away with it.. The hammer's going to fall regardless. smile.gif

If the Star Newspaper prints a free cupon cut-out  to redeem a free Burger at McDonalds, and doesn't say one person is entitled to one Burger only, then it's nothing wrong for me to use 10 different cupons to claim 10 Burgers.

There's nothing immoral here  smile.gif .

If want to talk about morally wrong,  then like you and me viewing copyrighted stuff for free using 'ahem' Kodi add-ons  biggrin.gif

Ehem Ehem.. You.. Me...? hmm.gif What is this Kodi addins you speaks about. You means the nursery rhyme Ko Ko Ko Kodi or is like a cultural dances? Ehem Ehem... tongue.gif

video... may depend on the particular video, device or tv.

some have commented poor video on their tv's/pcs.

but i find many videos acceptable on my smart tv.

i guess with upscaling, it can get close to 480p.

stability - yes. watched several episodes of documentary, no problem.
*
I have concerns with 720p or low bitrate 1080p files on a 1080p TV... Can't imagine "close to" 480p on a 4k TV... shocking.gif

I see, am using 2 iPads and 1 TV Box at home to watch.  All these while it is ok, until yesterday nite.

Btw, how to deregister?

I did not register so far, when first download the iflix apps on my Android TV Box, straight away I can watch movie on iflix without registration.

Max, is 2 devices at any time rite?

btw, thanks for replying
*
If this is just happening on the Android TV box.... Launch iflix, if it still prompts you to login, restart your router and force-close or kill the iflix app...upon router bootup completion, restart the iflix app. It should auto-login. Usually a force-close or 2 fixes it.

Re-started my router yesterday, initally it won't work, still prompted me to login, after re-start my Andriod device and it works again.

thanks guy.
*
Yeah, usually the force closing simulates a reboot for the app forcing it to reload... Figured you could get away without having to do a full reboot... icon_rolleyes.gif

Apps can be finicky.. Probably a server side issue.. Especially if rebooting the laptop doesn't solve the issue.. Try different browsers..

iflix - TM unifi no login credential account t really troublesome the users.
whenever I am using mobile data during travel, it will not detect my account and sometimes even ask me to create free trial account with telco (Maxis. Digi)

end up, i asked iflix support to transfer my subscription to my email ID instead.
*
Thanks for pointing this out. A more workable alternative than having to deal with the occasional failure to detect the TM account.

Unifi. Happened on PC and Samsung tablet.
Free access until end of this year.
Today need to sign in.
*
Most have encountered such and AFAIK, no sure solution. On the tablet, you could try clearing the data & cache. Hopefully that works.

On my end, only one device is allowed access, the rest are asked to either login or that I delete connected devices off my account. Funnily, the device that is allowed to connect has a completely different watch history and other connected 4 devices (supposedly mine) have very weird device names/ID and nothing similar to the names of my other devices or usernames I'd pick.. doh.gif

Iflix has finally done away with auto detect unifi customers.

If yr iflix stopped working, u just need to register yr id, pw, email.

Then yr free subscription will continue.

5 devices allowed.
*
Took em long enough.. That's actually what should have happened from day one. smile.gif

QUOTE(p4n6 @ May 25 2017, 10:47 AM)
Let's not jump to conclusion.

iFlix not the only app I have in the mibox, also have Netflix, Vue and other media streaming app that works, only iFlix facing this issue.

Just wonder whether iFlix blocks content streaming based on device type - only allows for phone and tablet but not others.
*
I believe what AVFAN meant was that the current iFlix version could be incompatible with the MiBox.. Could also mean that it's your particular device.. That's if it runs perfectly on another same MiBox device.. It does run perfectly on some other TV Box models.. In which case, it's a "your device" issue and not that of the iFlix app... So if it's not a device issue and no solution, then you'll have to wait for another update and hope it works out.

The iFlix app is written for phones and tablets.. The MiBox is neither, just a heavily modified tablet/phone firmware, forced to work and output on the bigger screen. I doubt the iFlix devs are actively discriminating certain devices.. Cuz they need the exposure.. biggrin.gif
