I know when they launched many months back, they gave free trial.

But yesterday when I visited their website using PC, I could watch the movies and TV shows without having opened any account previously.

What's happening. Is the free trial still on after so many mths ?

Or are they panicking that Netflix is here, and want to give free trial again to attract more people ??

So, what's going on? Anyone can enlighten me ? blush.gif

Ha ha , my Hotspot data unlimited, and best part is it cost me only RM30/- a mth. Only thing it's speed only average 3Mbps so can only watch SD quality (but sometimes look better than SD quality), but both Iflix and Nflix very smooth, not a single hiccup.

But I still curious any else can watch Iflix free currently? Or am I the only one?

I read yesterday actor Will Smith came to MidValley KL and was seen with some some Iflix executives. Maybe he is promoting Iflix.

iFlix signed a deal with TM to provide free service to anyone using UniFi for 1 year. Provided you're using TM's DNS, you'll be able to access the service without registering for an account.

I have already said I don't have any Unifi account. I repeat, I am only using a wireless Hotspot service at my flat and have no fixed internet account with any service provider.

Don't worry, I think I have figured it out.

1 or 2 weeks back, when I tried first tried their website, the page took so long to respond, that it looked like already 'hang'. So I closed it and tried again a few times, but same result.

After trying again for few days later, again same thing, until recently a msg poped up apologising for their failure. After that the page suddenly worked.

I figured the first time I tried, I must have clicked the Free Trial , and after so long I must have forgotten about it. So probably now I am just getting the 1 month free trial , that's all biggrin.gif

Normal iflix can register 5 devices, but can only use 2 at a time I believe.

The 1st 5 devices (that are used to access iflix from Unifi), be it a phone, laptop, desktop or tablet will be able to access iflix for free over the next 12-months using any Internet service provider (ISP). Having 5 devices work on any ISP after the initial activation is pretty generous and I believe the list can't be reset. If you want additional devices, you need to subscribe separately on that device to iflix.

But I thought I read the FAQ before, if you want to change devices , you can. Just need to remove one from the list and replace with a new one.

Read around a bit and it appears an update to that effect was made last month. It does seem possible to remove a previously registered device in iflix’s settings and register the new one.
