for holga.. i think all the photo come out is square... it is depends on the camera that we use... do you know that film is just like a roll of empty paper.. everytime we snap picture, there will be image on the film, when we advance the film, the film will move forward and the camera will adjust the length of the film to advance so that we can see like each photo we take is separated by some space in negative...

ooh...i didnt know that...so that's the style for film based camera...hmm..which means we must compose the frame correctly...if not come out like sh!t..hehe...but i guess it's all trial and error ... even for digital photography too i think is the same...learn learn shoot shoot and shoot more...hahaha

lomo cam usually have to advance manually... turn the advance wheel... it will advance it to the second frame... if you load the film wrongly, and it is not advance by one frame... your picture will become double expose... won't be ugly lar.. maybe you will like the new effect too.. LOMO is random.. if you wan to know lomo history.. can go you tube fsearch for lomo... then watch the lomo documentary...

it is a panorama machine... the lens will swing 120 degree.. it is a cool and expensive machine.. the most expensive one is horizon perfekt.. the cost is RM1980... but the picture is damn nice.. all the pic you see in panism.com is taken by horizon perfekt... hope i can help you understand more about lomo... haha... slowly choose which cam that suitable for you and you can afford.. my next target is colorsplash...

Does anyone know what is the different between 120film (use for Holga) and normal 36mm film? Price? usage? thanks

120 film is like 2.5 times bigger than the 135mm (36 exp film) film

120 films are called medium format film. of course there is a large format film but that's another story.

how much is the price different between both of them? does 120 film require special developing service which will cost more than the normal 36mm developing service?

i heard it was RM15 per roll...

processing is the same. printing it might be more expensive than normal 35mm film.

the cheapest 120 film i found is from selangor photographer. pertama complex there. opposte sogo. per roll was rm 6.50. noticed i used was? it has been like half a year i didn't go there buy liao. i used to buy 50 rolls sekali gus when i was doing my project.

i usually print 5R. RM 2 each
4R is RM 1 each

i got this price from ESIX. i am not sure about others though.
1 roll of 120 for holga can give you 16 or 12 exposure. depends how u dessect your camera.

ifer: RM1 for 4R is quite expensive compare to normal 36mm which is 0.3-0.35sen per pcs. Btw, what is ESIX? a shop name? sorry for noob

its true, RM 1 is expensive. but it's a medium format. it's a different film all together.

and they need a bigger scanner to print those negatives. hence, the higher price.

ESIX is a photo lab located in pudu plaza. mind you, not pudu raya. it's pudu plaza. basically behind times square. i usually go there for my printings and stuffs. cheaper? not really. it's just that they give me good result.

Here is one of my photo taken using FishEye2. I noticed there is always a blackspot (circle in red) on every low right hand corner whenever im trying to take photo indoor using flash. Does anyone know what cause this? and how to avoid this? thanks
